Finally, someone actually shows what it takes to record in stereo. Looks like a need a Duo now. All I want to do is record my hardware mixer stereo output onto my ipad in stereo.

Is there a way to record video using iRig audio input directly with an iPhone camera? How do you upload video to a KZfaq channel using the iRig app? I can't seem to move the videl/audio file to a place where KZfaqr can access it. Any advice on this? thanks for this video and any help.

Hi, I connected Irig as you said to my keyboard but when I record the sound doesn’t come to the recording video, I just can hear the noise of my fingers playing on the keyboard which means that my IPhone record the sound from outside

Thank you for this! This is exactly what I've been looking for! I make videos of me singing and playing acoustic guitar. The stereo/mono settings were huge for me! Now I can use 2 mics for better sound. Being able to add a little reverb was huge! uploading to google drive huge! My 2 issues now are my audio doesn't match my video and how do you delete the different renderings from the list? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi and thank you. I subscribed. I’m almost definitely getting the iRig pro duo. I want to put Cubasis 2 or Auroria on my iPad Pro as my main sound editing workspace. Basically only use iMovie, and suppose can do that over there too. Question. Can I send in my cropped and rendered video/audio via google drive, (we transfer etc) then a) bring audio direct into DAW on iPad. B) “zero-it out” and do post on audio Then c) re-merge it with video all without nudging etc. Basically, I want to sound edit my vids and have it EXACTLY in (as much) sync as initial video-audio recording. If not I would probably choose to just render and throw it up on KZfaq, FB, Insta etc. I incidentally am (pretty munch) thinking in terms of Live Solo Guitar Music vids and/or Live Guitar/Voice vids. Thanks so much and great VERY UNDERSTANDABLE work.

Thanks. Nice information. I used it and somehow iRig Recorder app closes while recording video after sometime. What would be the reason? Is there a limit of video recording .. may be 5 mins?

Good video! Is there a way to do a mic, and an instrument plus a Karaoke audio file without using an external mixer? In short, I am looking to do a video of me playing my bass and singing over a backing track (simultaneously), using iRig Recorder.

soafone Pain in the ass but, I just had GarageBand as well as iRig recorder running in the background.......I was able to toggle between GarageBand to iRig recorder after hitting record in GarageBand......so then I hit record on iRig recorder so that BOTH apps are running in the background as well as recording. Now, iRig recorder recorded audio properly, but did not retain the effected mix (with reverb) it was dry.......but the audio recorded was n GarageBand still sounded wet and mixed exactly as it was when I routed it. From there you should be able to import the video from iRig recorder into iMovie as well as the audio from GarageBand and sync up the two manually.

@@generalleigh7387 since you know how to push this stuff to the limit can I ask you some questions? I have multiple stereo instruments connected to my hardware mixer. I would like to run sampletank on ipad with a beat, feed it into my hardware mixer so i can hear it, then take the mixer output in stereo and feed it back into the irig recorder on ipad in stereo, and record the combined sampletank and my live instruments in stereo. Is this possible? Will the duo allow me to do this? Plus should I be using the 1/8 headphone jack on the ipad as my stereo output to my mixer? Or is there some digital way via the lightning port? Using the headphone output seems to work but it doesnt sound as good as when listening via headphones. Is there a trick to how to adjust the phone output and mixer amp to work together?

@@RadFox1320 Ill try to pick it apart- one bite at a time.......first you would never want to run a RAN signal BACK into any gear that is already processing the signal in question- you will get horrible feedback loops every time.

Hi Weezna - UPDATE - as it happens the iRig 3 app marketing video was right after your vid for me and seems I can do everything I mentioned. And May even use there plugs, as I definiteitely don’t need crazy level quality. However I’m wondering if I can thro everything over to iPad, bring audio into daw, re-merge with video al without movement so is exact as original recording of audio-video. Tnx again. I recently bought irig hd2, I'm using the paid irig recorder 3 ios app. I create my own bases /Backing tracks in GarageBand. I can not import the audio of this playback in irig recorder 3 . can anyone help me to solve this? I want to post videos by playing bass on top of my playbacks . Just iPhone , no computar . Thanks

Riccardo Giuliani yes, you can use your video recording app right on your phone but this device will replace the audio with whatever you plug into it

Would you be using it for the mic preamps? or for another reason? You could run the headphone out of the iRig into the input on the DSLR

Hi, so you can plug -ANY- mixer into the iRig Pro Duo as long as the mixer has analog outputs. So you would look to see if it has 1/4 inch, xlr, or rca outputs on the mixer. The outputs of the mixer would then plug into the inputs of the iRig Pro Duo. Looking at the Behringer x18 mixer, you could use the xlr outputs, the headphone output, or the AUX sends on the back of the mixer to hook up to the iRig Pro Duo. Let me know if this makes sense!

Ok stupid question . How the heck now I’m done recording listen to what I recorded ? It only plays back on my phone speakers since I’m on iPhone 12 my buds are Bluetooth . Am I doing something wrong ? If not not being able to play back through Bluetooth is butt stupid . I hope I’m the stupid one . Lol not sure where an adapter is for head phones . Lol

Yes it does! You can connect 2 condenser mics and power both of them from the iRig. I would suggest buying some rechargeable batteries or getting the power adapter along with it if you're planning on using condenser mics all the time. The additional boost in voltage to power the condenser mics definitely eat up more power.

So far the most useful video on youtube Can I just ask; is this working as well with Irig Pre? Was trying to spend as less as possible even because it would be my very first time trying to record my stuff, Want to take voice and instrument ( ukulele in this case ) So could I record video using the app with Pre with just one mic and all with iPhone ( I have shure sm58 ) Thanks for your help, great video!!!

Sabrina Masella hey thank you for saying that, I appreciate it. So the I rig pre-is good but it’s not amazing. It does have some analog hiss when the gain is cranked. If you are a quiet singer and need to raise the gain a lot, you’re definitely going to experience this hiss. So when you have an appropriate amount of level going into the Irig pre it is a very usable device

Where does irig 3 recorder save files on your phone. I've been using the app for a while now and have been uploading to Google drive, I then have to download them again. This is a bit redundant since I'm editing videos on my phone.

press the "up arrow" as shown in the video. Render the file to your chosen format/quality. Then you can send it directly to other apps (instagram for example, dropbox, etc), or you can save it directly to your camera roll. Or you can air drop to another person's phone. You might have to find the menu that tells you which app shares are visible and toggle on and off the ones you want to use, or not use. These are represented by an icon with three dots that says "More." You have many options!

Hey, so i have tried everything and even tried to email Facebook to get a better answer. I can't get the iRig to be in stereo mode no matter what. I have a feeling that when you go to live mode, to save streaming bandwidth, it goes to mono. If i ever mind a way, i'll make a video immediately! Thanks for watching!

How the duck you can edit channels SEPARATELY??? I mean I need to do a panning I need to volume each channel to have a compressor in one channel and no compressor in another.. what the hell is this app is just a freaking toy
