Just look at the results... i agree with some guys here, the russian rhythmic gymnastics is at the top in part for Irina.

And it all came crashing down in Tokyo. Russia did not win a single gold in RG. So much for results...

@@valcm22 And? Tokyo was the reckoning that was a long time coming for Viner's draconian system. Sending two injured, burnt out athletes to compete on sports' biggest stage and expecting them to win like usual with the help of a COP specifically tailored to them was some winning plan. Then Viner threatened the twins after the Olympics to stay despite the fact they want to retire because her upcoming seniors aren't going to win in international competitions yet. The rest of the world is catching up; Linoy and Bulgaria are just the tip of the iceberg.

@@dynasty0019 Hahahahaha "A COP specifically tailored to them" Obviously Viner is wrong to force their athletes to compete injured. And although there are others that stand out, the russians are still the best, although many do not like it.

Well, in figure skating I've seen something different and much more pleasant.. Brian Orser has been the coach of Yuzuru Hanyu and Yuna Kim, he produced such gems, true champions and He has, at least for what I could observe, such different coaching approach. Are we sure the this cruelty is the only way to make the best athletes? I don't think so.

She looked stricter back then.... Nowadays she uses other methods haha but i remember watching kabaeva and barsukova training in 2000's.... That woman screamed like the world was about to explode... That moment when she appeared with alina on japanese tv, she was saying alina was too fat (she used the words "you are a square, alina!!!).... I remember watching this documentary on tv

Now I admit my mistake, Irina is a fantastic coach, after seeing Over The Limit, I have become her fan. She knows at all times that giving her girls, she is a super master, very wise.

i think this is a very strict,but good coach. gymasts need a certain discipline viner is hard,but absolutely not unfair
