Amitori area in the western part of Iriomote Island. The area is called Oku-Nishimote.
There used to be a village, but it is now abandoned and there is only a research facility of Tokai University.
The people who conduct tours in this area are few and the price is a little high, but the Jajamaru Tour, which is open in the Funauki area, is a reasonable, kind, well-equipped and highly recommended guide.
