Reverse Flash is no quitter. He's literally the villain that never gives up

The face rip is poetic. You see eobard took the wells face originally. But now wells face was under the thawne one. Therefore the reverse of the original transformation

The fact that Matt Eobard said “Get Back” to Meena shows that he indeed was a good man, it’s a shame he died, especially like that

I feel so bad for poor Meena. Her screams and horror of seeing the love of her life's face get ripped apart and turn into someone else 😰

The ending was insane especially seeing Thawne ripping out of his other self was a great nod to the cover of Running Scared.

This ending was insane! The body horror with old multiverse Thawne being resurrected/reborn through flashpoint Thawne was pure perfection. And Barry killing Iris with his own lightning...I'm jaw dropped!

Wow Thawne not only was destined to kill Barry’s mother but also indirectly killed his wife! Wow! I know Iris will be resurrected but damn this is sadistic to put Barry through so much of crap!!

Thawne is always one step ahead of Barry no matter what, this guy doesn't know the meaning of giving up, pure persistence. Side note, he is CW's best villain

That was the best flash ending in a long time. Perhaps on the entire show ever. Love the surprise twist. Thanks for the Resurrection. Flash. Powerful Words gave me chills 🥶

That hatred in Barry's eyes at the end. And of course Thawne will always come back and if previous seasons haven't done that already, this season has very clearly made him the biggest villain of the Arrowverse. He would literally kill himself twice over, if it meant coming back with his powers to haunt Barry once again. And killing Iris is just the cherry on the cake for him.

Savitar: "Great that means I'm back right?" producers: savitar: "right?"

The fact that they killed Iris, by Barry's own hand is insane and reignited my dwindling love for the show. Now, I'm sure they'll bring her back...after all can't wipe the kids from existence by killing a main character. But this should destroy Barry in the moment, no one can deal with this level of loss.

Let's be honest guys. The last few episodes of this season have just been jaw-dropping every time. Making everything unexpected now. 10/10

Holy… did Sam raimi direct this episode? This part is terrifying! Also, grant’s acting is on another level. At the end, you can see the absolute hatred for thawne when he rips out of the other thawne

This would’ve been a great return scene for Savitar, he was caused by Iris’ death, so you could imagine just booming in the timeline or universe, and a blue streak is flashing towards Flash, and then you see the tall Savitar just standing

I had a feeling that Good Thawne wasnt gonna last and somehow Reverse-Flash would be back to his old ways, but I never expected it to be like that. That was fucking incredible.

Thanks for the resurrection, Flash. Body horror, hooked, intense screams & goosebumps. Not only killed the Iris by the Flash also resurrected by him. Tom Cavanagh making his entrance as RF is one of the sickest Flash episode cliffhanger I've ever watched in years

These last few episodes prove that the CW knows how to produce a great flash show when filler is not involved. I absolutely did not expect this plot twist and I was out of my seat in awe while watching. The fact that they are ending this with Thawne makes this that much more meaningful since in the comics it always ends with him. Also the peeling of the skin of his younger self was unexpectedly graphic in all the best ways possible. Great job to the writers and actors involved.

This episode was a 10/10 and the acting was simply amazing

It’s ironic that in season 3 Barry would’ve done anything to stop himself (Savitar) from killing Iris but inevitably, it happened anyway. Imagine next season is Barry’s descent into becoming Savitar. I know it would never happen but it would be cool to think about.

This was so epic, and I really am hyped for the next episode. But you have to admit, that scream from Meena when Reverse-Flash rips his face open was so damn hilarious LMAO 😂

Might have been a few things he wasn’t expecting like him dying but whatever he set in motion in that scene led to the payoff here

....what the hell. Tom Cavanaugh literally just ripped through Matt Letscher to return and in his new suit. Thawne just will not die.

I wondered Dion killed Thawne at Lian-Yu, but now I understand. A depowered Eobard Thawne wasn't worth the effort. The real Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash was needed to not only be the Flash's greatest enemy, but he was also needed to be the avatar for the Negative Speed Force. This is why Eobard Thawne is Barry's greatest enemy, because no matter how many times Barry destroys him, no matter how many times Thawne is erased from the timeline, no matter how many times he is destroyed in the multiverse, Thawne is like a bad penny. He will always turn up, and it's frightening. And the way Tommy Thawne did a kind of caterpillar in a cocoon style thing with the good Thawne by tearing him off like he was nothing more than a shell of his former self in order to reveal the truth underneath, that was not only terrifying, but epic in so many ways. It shows that Thawne is so powerful and so dangerous, that no amount of kindness or decency can overpower the sheer level of evil that is in Thawne's heart. He is the embodiment of pure evil. Savitar came close, Zoom was the only one that could rival Thawne, but Thawne is in a class of his own. And not only has Thawne returned, he's also taken another trophy for himself. He's done what Savitar said he would do, which was take away the one thing that was Barry's connection to any kind of humanity and happiness left in his world. He destroyed Barry's lightning rod. He indirectly killed Iris. Something that villains have tried to do for eight long years, but failed every time. And now, a new force has been created in the form of the new Negative Speed Force, with Thawne being its avatar, and the leader of the Negative Forces.

Literally when iris said “the sacrifice isn’t thawne,” my mouth dropped. And then when I saw the still force particles go into good thawne I was like “OH SHIT!” Cause I knew what was abt to happen. My brother came running to see what happen😂

One thing about twists like this, you can sometimes never see it coming and other times you have a feeling that an old enemy will take an opportunity to "rise from the ashes" and come back and even bigger and stronger threat than before. Socio/psychopath Thawne certainly doesn't disappoint especially since we all know that he was beyond redemption and shouldn't have been left alive after he was depowered. That's the problem with the heroes of DC Universe, they have a bad habit of assuming that their nemesis has been completely defeated and is no longer a threat, letting their guards down and themselves wide open to a knife in the back. The only thing a monster like that deserves and pardon me if I am sounding cold in saying this, is a bullet between the eyes and a one-way ticket to the deepest circle of Hell. In the end, Barry will have to live with the aftermath of what has just happened here and will it either break him as well as forever change his destiny as The Flash or will he find a way to make it right and balance the scales of karma like he always does? We will wait and see.........

that was the best thing to happen in this show since season 1. that was such an amazing moment. dude literally ripped his own face off. if the show had more moments like this it would be watchable

Iris dying at the end of this episode, truly was a tragic twist. 😢 The part with evil Thawne being reborn the way he did, now that was even more surprising! The friendly Thawne's face being ripped off to show his evil opposite, sort of gave a horror movie vibe.

I knew it was Thawne because at 3:14 you can hear him breathing in the particles sent by the still force and it sounded like he was vibrating his vocal chords so I knew he was finally back and with SPEED 😮‍💨

My assumption is that when Barry struck Iris with the positive speed force lightning, the negative tachyons in her body must have been flushed out of her system which knocked her out for a bit

From the Negative Forces to seeing Joan to seeing Bart and Nora to Caitlin trying to bring Frost back seeing flashpoint thawne in the original Reverse-Flash suit to Iris being killed by Barry's own Lightning! They actually did body horror by old multiverse Thawne being resurrected by ripping through flashpoint Thawne's body!!!!!!

If this was the ending of the season they could have found a way to bring back Savitar and have Barry go almost insane again
