"Hello dear friends! Today's video is brimming full of blossoms from the cottage garden, showcasing its transition from those cold, bare, wintry days to the lush, vibrant and joyful days of summer. I'll be potting on some little surprises I found in the garden beds, and treating an unusual and stubborn ginger kitty blossom to a necessary procedure!
We'll also take some time away for some sweet treats in my favourite farm shop, and fill our baskets with goodies before we head home to tackle the big job of making hay bales, just as the sun decides to shine down on us for a little while!
As the sun gently sets, I'll make us some delectable elderflower mocktails to enjoy (recipe available to Patrons).

Hello Gillian ☺. This was beautiful, the visuals and the music. And it made me cry watching how happy 'Marmalade' was that you had rescued him. I lost my beloved husband Terry back in December after 54 years together (we were babes when we wed). He was my love, my life and my soul mate and I miss him every day. I have my Kits, Tally 🐈 and Luna 🐱 who are giving me a reason to get up in the mornings and showing me so much love. It was on our bucket list to visit Ireland soon, but alas it wasn't to be, so instead, instead I read The Road to Innisfree by YB Years at his farewell. I am also an artist and Terry told me to carry on creating! For if are creative and you don't create your soul will die .... Hello Gillian from Virginia in the US. Lovely video today. It touched my heart to watch the Ginger Kitty. I hope he will stay around. Without knowing him better it's not always easy to suggest a name. Personally I like names that are play on words, cute or clever in some way. For example I once had a lab shepherd mix dog that was the color of cappuccino and we called her Cappy for short. I was thinking something around Ginger, but of course Ginger is thought of as a girl's name. What about Sir Gingerbred? A sort of play on words or Just Sir Ginger? Any way I am sure you will come up with a great name. Great to spend time with you through your video this morning. Thank you for sharing.

Your garden is so beautiful and your roses are fabulous. The Roses here at Three Fountains are always so beautiful.. but we had some awful 100° weather for a week and they stopped blooming. Such a pretty ginger and Chubs is so sweet. Your garden looks so lush, mine did too at first. Now we are nearing 100 degrees F. Every plant in my garden looks sad and droopy. My rose bush has dropped all the foliage with only a few buds. Going to give it some nitrogen and hope for cooler temps (probable in vain).

Hello Gillian, I am travelling and missed the live, but catching gup now. I am at my happy place where I get to see and play with the kitties. I came home with rashes on my arms, but I can take it. It is well worth it! I am always amazed by rainbows and beautiful watercolor paintings of evening skies where you live. Your garden looks amazing. Yaay! another video! :) ... your June weather is like our April weather is, We have gotten sunshine, rain, hail, snow and back to sunshine all in one afternoon. I remember driving down my country road on a wonderful sunny day, puzzled at a white line across the road up ahead, wondering why they would paint a line there. I found out when I crossed that line and I got hit with a deluge of hail!. Talk about confused plants. :) .... As always, A Lovely time spent immersed in your videos. Thank you.

It can be such an expensive hobby for sure! What I did is, make an initial investment in the best flowers/plants for your soil conditions and climate, then propagate and divide them each year so you will always have free plants to keep adding in to the beds. Sowing seeds in trays indoors is also a great way to begin a garden with very little expense, and then plant them out in summer and they'll take off and be very happy. Hope that helps! 💕

Greetings from Indiana! You have a beautiful view all around you ! Your roses are absolutely amazing , what types do you have? Mine have bee getting Rosette virus and I have to dig them out ! I love cats too, all of yours are very cute.. I have a few strays that I feed, I miss them when they don't show up for a meal. Blessings Paula

Aw thank you Paula! Oh what a pity about your roses, I haven’t heard of that before. Mine are mostly David Austin roses , so have good disease resistance, although there’s a lot of block spot this year due to the rain 😢

I follow another you tuber who filmed his allotment. He had a visiting cat called Rusty who was getting on and sadly passed away recently. Your kitty looks the spitting image! May Rusty live on!
