Hi Surprisebaby, The main thing to remember when making Irish Crochet Lace is to match the thread size to the size of the hook. No 10 cotton will take a no. 2 hook, no.20, no 1.5hook, No 30 no.1hook, No 40 or 60, No.75hook, No. 80 or100 will take the new .04 hook.
