I feel like people who drink activated charcoal don't understand much about what it is or about human physiology. It's great if you're trying to make a filtration system to get toxins and shit out of water, but if you put it into your digestive tract, the main thing it'll be filtering out is vitamins. Even if you have been drinking tainted water, by the time it's in you it's pretty much too late, you might get a tiny proportion out with the charcoal but the vast majority of the work is going to be done by your liver - which is what it's for. Instead of wasting your activated charcoal in lemonade, run your nasty water through it before drinking so you don't get shit in your body in the first place.

CasperInkyMagoo, You're kidding, right? Because KFC is not soul food. Popeyes comes closer, Church's closer still, but the only way to get authentic soul food is to go to one off black owned, black run restaurants here in the Deep South. There may be a few in northern inner cities, I don't know. But no chain restaurant sells soul food. Not enough market for it.

I had squid stewed in its ink while in the Philippines. I was leery that the ink would have a funky taste, but it has a nice mild seafood flavour. Stewing the squid that way made it really tender. Definitely recommend giving it a try if have the chance.
