Artificial banana is based on the original commercial banana that was killed off by a fungus. The currently marketed banana is a different type leading to the difference in taste from artificial banana and current one.

Try seasoning with chili powder mixture (onion powder, garlic salt and chili powder). Bake them at medium heat about 7 minutes. Also, pecans make a better roasted nut.

What they do, see, is they take a small amount of whatever they're selling and then they call it a "serving size" even if it's ridiculously small and not even a child would be satisfied with it. Then they measure the amount of cholesterol in their "serving size", and if it's below a certain amount they're allowed to round down to zero. So the entire can might have enough cholesterol in it to kill a hippo, but if you just eat the "serving size" of a quarter of a peanut then you're fine.

Peanuts don't contain cholesterol they contain saturated fats... It is a marketing 'buzz word'.

@@IAmAlgolei True. Serving size on a coke can is 100ml. Wouldn't even wet my throat, 100ml. That's a sip! Kellogg's cornflakes that are more sugar than grain, serving size is 30 grams. Like, a toddler eats double that!

@@pashminagal Yes, this too. Saturated fats lead to cholesterol build up. So, how can you claim zero cholesterol in a product that contains oils and nuts with sat-fat?! Its all so dubious marketing.

@Matt B Since I was a kid, my parents and grandparents refrained me from eating too many peanuts and steered me towards other nuts and seeds with greater mono and ploy fats, aka the good fats, because peanuts have a high saturated fat, aka bad fat, content. Peanuts may not be able to synthesize cholesterol (i cannot claim this to be true or false, currently) but the human body makes bad cholesterol from saturated fats. That is a biological fact.

The Pain Is Good nuts are pretty darned good! And I am not just saying that because I regularly visit the factory where they are made. The same company makes a line called 100% Pain that are hotter. I really need to visit them to put together a nice (and spicy) care package for the Try Family!

The funny thing is the artificial banana flavor is based on the most popular banana up until the 1950's? when they more of less went extinct (Near extinct technically, some still exist and some people still grow them. But not commercially outside of some regional areas like SE asia) because of the panama disease. And were replaced by the cavadise that we eat now that was more resistant to the panama disease.
