Been there done that.. a friend of mine and I were drinking Everclear and squirt. I had a fare buzz on, I thought. Until I open the door to the house and the warm Air hit me. Don't remember how I got to my pillow but I was laying on my side and when I regains consciousness I was dreaming I was eating a medium-rare hamburger and the juice was running out of my mouth. I had chewed a Ridge in my cheek, and it was blood running out of my mouth. Shied away from that stuff after that.

I've had a great time on absinthe. I was at DragonCon and a man in a suit I had been talking with opened up his briefcase, took out a full absinthe kit, and prepared me a cup with all the fixings. Being DragonCon, this was 11 in the morning and I was dressed as Vash the Stampede. The rest of the day was lovely.

My wife and I were in a pub playing with the landlord's cats and ferrets and drinking his best Absinthe (the black stuff) when a large group of people came in. This was their first pub in a massive pub crawl, when they'd planned to have dinner at a nice restaurant in town. I convinced them that they should join us in the Absinthe. Eventually we had to leave to get the last train. Next time were were in the pub the landlord told us that they'd actually drunk all the bottle of Absinthe stayed until closing time, and got into one hell of a state, abandoning the pub crawl and didn't make it to the restaurant for their meal. "They were such a mess I took pity on them, made them some coffee and booked taxis for them to take them to their hotel!"

Drove me to learn more about Artemisia absinthium also known as wormwood. Apparently absinthe was banned in the US from 1912 -2007. It's considered a mild posion and can have side effects of hallucinations. Mead was also mixed with Atemisia Absinthium and so was beer in place of hops.

Ciara is taking extremely tiny sips, while everyone else is downing the entire shots, so i feel like, you cant really compare the two, because of course you wont really feel that alcohol burning feeling when it goes down the throat when you are literally drinking a few drops.
