Poor souls, you could tell that all both wanted to do there was slide to the floor and have a little snooze to get some energy back in the right places. Standing was almost as hard there as staying ahead of the Germans in the last 1k.

He just didn’t qualify. The 2 best rowers make the cut. Paul was first, Fintan was second, so they got paired up.
