IRM Museum Showcase Weekend 2021 featuring The Electroliner

It's that time of year again for IRM's annual showcase weekend. This year was kind of a fun one. In addition to 1630, The Nebraska Zephyr, and the various trolleys and interurbans running around. We also got to see CNW 6847 handle the caboose train, Commonwealth Edison 15 making a quick round, Santa Fe 92 being fired up to clean some things out, and the biggest surprise, a photo runby featuring the famous North Shore Line Electroliner! Probably the biggest surprise of the day. Anyways, sit back, relax, and enjoy the trains. Enjoy!

In 1991 in February IRM celebrated the Electroliners 50th birthday. The only time food was served in the liner. I had a Electro Burger, potato chips and coke. Cooked in the restaurant and brought to the train.

Southern Pacific 2-10-2 "Santa Fe" class F-1 #975. Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1918. She was just cosmetically restored in 2020.
