ABOUT IRON MAIDEN:
Iron Maiden are an institution. Over the course of six decades they have come to embody a spirit of fearless creative independence, ferocious dedication to their fans, and a cheerful indifference to their critics that’s won them a following that spans every culture, generation, and time-zone. A story of gritty determination and courageous defiance of the naysayers, theirs has been an adventure like no other.
The band’s immense discography includes the studio albums ‘The Number Of The Beast’, ‘Piece Of Mind’, ‘Powerslave, ‘Somewhere In Time’, ‘Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son’, ‘Fear Of The Dark’, ‘The Final Frontier’ and ‘The Book Of Souls’ which have spawned many classic hits as ‘The Trooper’, ‘Wasted Years’, ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’, ‘Wasting Love’, ‘Run To The Hills’, ‘Aces High’, ‘Rime Of The Ancient Mariner’ and ‘2 Minutes to Midnight’.

@@danielprudhoe647 I'd have to agree with him. While there are many that deserve HoF status, it has become something of a joke. Really, Dave Matthews? Nine Inch Nails? Blondie? Donovan? Green Day? Just because you are famous, doesn't mean you should be in the HoF of any given profession. They also ought to limit the number of inductees each year. It is a very watered down HoF.

@@frank3200 He is not trolling, he is right. I like Maiden too, but I can see their weaknesses live. Their rhythm guitar sections has always been sloppy. Their galloping riffs require lots of palm muting, which they just decide to skip for some reason. The only thing that's holding the tightness in the guitar section is Steve Harris. I don't think a band like Maiden need 3 guitarists. Janick's rhythm playing is absolutely horrible. Besides solos, his contribution to their live sound is almost non-existent.

I didn't either. Me and my wife have constant debate over this. Would you liked it if they changed the lyrics? No, that would be stupid. Well to me some of the guitar licks and solos are like the lyrics, I have my favourite "lines" and when they mess with them it's disappointing. My wife says that's the point of live and if you want it to sound like the album then just listen to the album. She is a huge NIN fan and Trent will completely change his arrangements for live shows. Don't get me wrong, adrian is my favourite of the band, some of his stuff of somewhere in time still has hairs stand up on my neck... But then by the same token if I was seeing them play stranger in a strange land live and they changed the melodic middle with linking solo I would probably cry... Whilst still being in awe.
@emirepresa9500
@emirepresa9500 5 жыл бұрын
@@robertward5047 I see your point comparing the solos with the lyrics but...I love when they change and "refresh" the solos, and specially when is done being sort of respectful with the tone in the original solo. I think Adrian is great at this, I mean come on, you don't like ANY of the following changes I can point at the top of my head at least? - The 2008-2009 version of the Rime solo. - The 1999 version of Stranger in Stranger Land solo. - The 2008-2009 version of the Powerslave solo. - The 2009 version of 2 minutes to midnight (with a killer tapping). Annnd watch out, Dickinson hardly ever respected the lyrics in the live versions of the Evil that Men do (this part: "dont you cry for me. beyond is where I learn")

As the sun breaks, above the ground, An old man stands on the hill, As the ground warms, to the first rays of light A birdsong shatters the still. His eyes are ablaze, See the madman in his gaze. Fly, on your way, like an eagle, Fly as high as the sun, On your way, like an eagle, Fly and touch the sun. Now the crowd breaks and a young boy appears Looks the old man in the eye As he spreads his wings and shouts at the crowd In the name of God my father I fly. His eyes seem so glazed As he flies on the wings of a dream, Now he knows his father betrayed Now his wings turn to ashes to ashes his grave. Fly, on your way, like an eagle, Fly as high as the sun, On your way, like an eagle, Fly as high as the sun.

Steven Lornie death on the road was raw power. the following performances were the best on that album: wrathchild lord of the flies paschendale iron maiden (the best live version in my opinion) dance of death brave new world they could have done a better job with the setlist but their performance was rock solid. I think the best live Bruce performance since reunion.

@@erosbifebeef5115 And one thing more, i like Bruce voice post 2000-s more than 80-s, look at his live england tours at 80-s and somewhere in time tour, he lack of power there and sounds nasal. He started to sound a little off 2014, cause the cancer started to kick in. And your statement "still sucked after the cancer" If you got cancer in that area what is important for singing and undergoing a chemotherapy, then try to sing good after that. He still recovers from it, but he´s getting much better now, he sounded better at legazy of The beast tour than Book of Souls tour, that was post cancer tour. Speaking about age, you can still sound good even old age, if you can keep your voice. Look at Steven Tyler, Dee Snider, Rob Rock, Alice Cooper, Eric Adams, Danny Bowes, Steve Grimmett, Mike Howe, etc and many are those who have lost it due for unhealthy lifestyle or damaging vocal chords.
