One of my favorite songs from the Dickinson era...sounds a bit meh here..mostly because of the mix, and Niko seems a bit unsteady on drums
@Meeshrick9 ай бұрын
I know Nicko had a stroke and as a stroke survivor myself I feel for him but he really sounds bad...his timing is off, his fills are sloppy and simplified, his triple kick in the intro is off...i don't know... if they continue to tour he should do what's best for the band and step down. This literally sounds like a high school band playing a talent show. Again I'm not trying to sound mean but just like Glenn stepped aside from Priest, it may be time for Nicko and best for Maiden
@DiegoHeredia3219 ай бұрын
I don't agree. I think it's awesome that Maiden are willing to work with Nicko and that Nicko had the passion and dedication to work his ass off in therapy and learn a brand new setlist to perform in 4 months. He's made good progress since May and he'll continue to do so.
@Meeshrick9 ай бұрын
@@DiegoHeredia321 like I said i had the same type of stroke he had I'm 20 plus years younger than he is. I broke my ass of doing the same therapy he did. After almost 2 years I'm at like 80% Nicko said he was at 70%. That's the best he will be 70/80%. Any neurologist will tell you 75/80% is the goal, don't expect more. Plus his age is a serious factor. Flying around the world at high altitude is very harsh on the brain, stress is a huge factor as well. He's at extremely high risk for repeat strokes due to his age (like Paul Rogers from bad company he had 9 minor and 2 major stroke since 2016) he's high risk. Look i commend him for doing wha and he's doing. However his performance is suffering. That is why he made the announcement in the first place...because people noticed his timing was off and it was throwing the whole band off. I'd be shocked if they do another album and tour and he doesn't step down.

@@DiegoHeredia321 I talk about performance, who cares what they play. I don't buy nostalgia, if you're not able to give a performance that worth 600 bucks, get out of the way, that's my way to feel the metal scene... same shit for Tool which is one of my fav band, Maynard can't sing, sry but leave the stage, time is over.
@DiegoHeredia3219 ай бұрын
@@goljom lol oh is that what you were talking about. Your initial comment is so vague. But I don't agree with you at all. I think they put on a great performance and work their ass off on stage and believe it comes across live
@ballbreathtaker977310 ай бұрын
Loose performance. And again - as the previous tour - the drums (which are not so tight and dynamic anymore) , the bass and the vocals in the sound mix are way above the 3 (three!) lead guitars. Steve Harris allows the guitars to go over only during the solos (and then Bruce often is screaming over them). Ridiculous!
