The live tracks Drifter and I’ve Got the Fire were recorded exactly 40 years ago today. 3rd April 1980. Still sounds fantastic, I’d love to hear this entire gig.

Almost all my Maiden CD's came with the B sides on a separate CD. I think it was around 1994 they released those copies and I bought as many as I could find at which ever music store stocked them. Good times :)

Yes, caused quite a bit of controversy back in the day so the band censored her eyes. Later they made a cover of Women in Uniform and the art depicts Margaret Thatcher about to kill Eddie.

Interesting how Drifter didn't used to have that middle slow/psychedelic section with Dave's solo, I do love Dennis's take on what later became Adrian's solo, and of course Clive's hi hat speed is insane as always

Really weird how as aspiring rock stars obviously wanting royalties they then decided to hate on Thatcher who'd just cut the tax rate for high earners stopping labour stealing it, you'd think Money conscious Roger Waters would've at least gave her dues for making sure he got decent Wall royalties instead of bizarrely appearing to be angry about it.
