I LOVE this album. I know people will cringe when I say this, but this is the album that got me into Maiden. I was 13 years old and it had just come out. My favorite band, MCR, always talked about how much they loved Maiden, so I gave them a listen and I've been hooked ever since.

For me Adrian Smith is the number one songwriter in the band and in the heavy metal history .He is a genius in songwriting. There is a reason everybody in the band is letting him to write half of the songs after Brave New World.

Armin Poorfard well he usually writes short, catchy songs but hey who writes most of their simply outstanding progressive tracks, long and brooding ??? You simply have to admit that Steve and Janick, Dave and even Bruce are more devoted writers in theese kinds of songs, and that´s the music I love the most.....truth to be told, Adrian made some incredible songs, but not many enough in my special music. ..but all is a matter of taste and opinion, don´t you agree ????

Imagine being in a band where you can play for two and a half hours every night, and have no hope of getting through even 2% of all the songs your fans are dying to hear live. This isn't even an important Iron Maiden song - it never makes the setlist and it probably never will again - and yet it's still more epic than the very best output most bands have had. They pack out arenas around the world decades after their inception, but when's the last time you heard them on the radio or saw them on television? This is the dream of every great artist.

Let me tell you about my life, 1982 Mom shipped me out at the age of 12 to live with asshole guardian parents I never knew. I went through hell with these people. No one save for this hell. I was the reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg. What did I do to deserve all this guilt. The burden of them won’t take me down, both are gone here I am 51 in 2020. Lyrics: Let me tell you 'bout my life Let me tell you 'bout my dreams Let me tell you 'bout the things that happened Always real to me Let me tell you of my hope Of my need to reach the sky Let me take you on an awkward journey Let me tell you why Let me tell you why Why should these curses be laid upon me? I won't be forgiven 'till I can break free What did I do to deserve all this guilt? Paid for my sins, for the sale of my soul Demons are trapped all inside of my head My hopes are gone, reach for Heaven from Hell My sins are many My guilt is too heavy The pressure of knowing Of hiding what I know I'm able to see things Things I don't want to see The lives of a thousand souls Weigh heavy down on me I know they're crying for help, reaching out The burden of them will take me down as well The sin of a thousand souls not died in vain Reincarnation of me Live again Someone to save me Something to save me from myself To bring salvation To exorcise this Hell Someone to save me Something to save me from myself To bring salvation To exorcise this Hell Someone to save me Something to save me from my Hell A destination away from this nightmare Someone to save me Something to save me from myself To bring salvation To exorcise this Hell

A man born on September 3rd, 1939 in London, who dissapeared mysteriously in 1978, unfound to this day. His parents were killed in a house fire when he was young, but he somehow escaped unharmed. He was then taken into orphanages, and when he was 10, he began to have horrific nightmares. He later painted his visions, and showed them to very few people, and the paintings were reportedly quite disturbing. None of these paintings exist today, and it is believed that Breeg destroyed them himself. He has gained notoriety through the song "The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg" by Iron Maiden, from their forthcoming 2006 album "A Matter of Life and Death".

The most brilliant part of this song is the character of Benjamin Breeg, who I always thought was some historical figure I just didn't know about. The DIVINITY is true.....this song is almost too good, the unique melodic mix of guitar harmonies, solos and the outstanding heavy riffs, thunderous drums, climbing bass line and the emotional and powerful voice of Bruce takes you to EUPHORIA..........FAR beyond......INCREDIBLE and UTTER GENIUS.........thank you Dave !!

Let me tell you about my life Let me tell you about my dreams Let me tell you about the things that happen Always real to me Let me tell you of my hope Of my need to reach the sky Let me take you on an awkward journey Let me tell you why Let me tell you why Why should these curses be laid upon me I won't be forgiven 'till I can break free What did I do to deserve all this guilt Pay for my sins with the sale of my soul Demons are trapped all inside of my head My hopes are gone reach for heaven from hell My sins are many my guilt is too heavy The pressure of knowing of hiding what I know I'm able to see things Things I don't want to see The lives of a thousand souls Weigh heavy down on me I know they're crying for help reaching out The burden of them will take me down as well The sin of a thousand souls not died in vain Reincarnate still in me live again Someone to save me Something to save me from myself To bring the salvation To exorcise this hell Someone to save me Something to save me from myself To bring the salvation To exorcise this hell Someone to save me Something to save me from my hell A destination Away from this nightmare Someone to save me Something to save me from myself To bring the salvation To exorcise this hell

Esta cancion es una verdadera joya. Te transporta a un mundo, en el que no muchos tienen la dicha de estar, cada frase, de cada letra es como un echizo que nos hace ver en realidad quienes somos. Asi considero esta belleza de cancion.

More people think this song is about Eddie than I thought, and I love it. There's so many of their songs that I see through his eyes, but this is the one that makes me weep for him. With the right mindset or mood, Eddie is a total Gollum/Smaegol character. He was human once.

I hate it when people hate on new Maiden for trying to do something new, I've listened to Maiden for all my life but never fully listened to any of the albums besides Brave New World, and after I listened to everything else it baffled me to see people hate on newer stuff like Senjutsu, Book of souls, and especially stuff like dance of death and the final frontier. This band still kicks ass and some won't admit it. I get that some like the older punk style of Maiden present in their first 2 albums but like come on, everything else is still just as good if not better
