Today on Marvelous Statues, I am taking a look at Iron Studios Thanos Statue. This is based on the movie Avengers Infinity War and is part of their 1:10 BDS Line.

We just started working on getting more Iron Studios products to our community. Overall I like this piece. Polystone. These 1:10 scale statues really help a completely different price point and space conscious collector. The base is made that way because they advertised it as a multi tier statue / adjustable height.

Thanks brother. You are gonna like it. Yes the light up is kinda weird. Another member told me if I leave the sleeve on the batteries it works better. So give that a try before you remove them.

Great 1/10 Thanos statue. I prefer 1/4 scale. I have the infinity war version in my collection. Congrats to the channel and video mate.

Great review Jorge! I thought the same thing (QC) with that crappy flashlight. What about the bottom base? My logo was off center but wasn’t planning on using it either.

The bottom the base for mine was blank. This is a prototype that Iron Studios sent to me to review. They said they wanted to give me a chance to change my mind about movie pieces. And I have to say they did a good job.

Hey Jorge.. Man 👁️ Absolutely 💘 this Lil Baby Thanos!!! He's My Quick Fix and My Sugar Rush!!! In between waiting on the "delays" of My much bigger P1 pieces to ship. Lol haha 😁 and with his 3 different display options on the base He fits in My Detolf Purrfectly! So thnks for reviewing this lil guy cuz He packs A BIG PUNCH!! SO DREAD IT, RUN FROM IT BUT MOST OF ALL.. KEEP IT MARVELOUS BABYYYY.. LOL 👊✌️

It does fit the bill. I think coupled with Iron Man it could make a nice movie moment. But not bad at all. Love your ending. Keep it Marvelous bro!

I broke the plastic for the batteries do you have any suggestions for it to work properly

Common mistake for owners of this statue is that you rip the plastic out of the batteries when in fact you shouldn't. It holds the batteries when you place it inside the flashlight. Without the plastic, you'll have problems turning it on and off. I made this mistake too. Lol. So now I wrap those batteries with masking tape and it works fine now

Yeah I got this few weeks ago and love it. The light up feature of the gauntlet is a little lame but I still love the statue. Yeah I agree with you about wishing the flames light up. But if you put some soft lighting of this piece the flames give off a nice reddish glow.... it’s awesome!! Can’t wait for the Iron Man in this line! Wait I thought you don’t collect movie pieces?😉😂

Yeah the base is supposed to be ‘able to be displayed in 4 ways’. With the black base and both bases, with the black base and one base, without the black base and two bases and without the black base and one base

That would be dope. And the good news is they did make the Black order for this set. So you could get Thanos and the rest of his crew if you wanted to.

why is there different versions of this statue? I saw some one youtube that have different light system and also magnetic parts for base, not flat like yours.

Base is designed to give you the height options - so ur guess is correct 👍

Its a neat idea. I think they did a great job with the engineering side from the little flashlight for the gauntlet.

Also... the batteries come in a little plastic sleeve. You need to keep them in this when inserting into the torch. This then allows you to turn it off and on properly. Your right though... the way you would display it means it’s a bit of a wasted feature and it would have been better if the meteors lit up

Peter Moore And REPETE so they have to be kept in the sleeve? Man they really should have included instructions. I took them out and inserted them myself. The light would stay on even if the switch was not in place. Oh well

You are supposed to put the flashlight inside the arm and it lights up the gauntlet

this 1/10 line by Iron Studios really is an epic line, but I do think Iron Studios fucked up with one thing, the pose they used for this 1/10 scale piece should have been used for the 1/4 scale piece, for me personally this was probably the most badass scene in the movie so it should of been used on the bigger more expensive piece instead they used a boring generic pose for the 1/4 scale, honestly I would of bought the quarter scale if this was the pose

Thats a good point. I felt the 1/4 scale was lacking intensity also. I think the overall size of this in 1/4 would have been insane though. Look how big Sideshow's Throne piece was.

I think every video reviewing statues should state the material the Thanos sculpt was made out of. This one was made out of polystone. Otherwise, thank you for the review. I'm probably going to pick this one up considering the price, material used, and pretty cool pose. I think 1/8 scale would have been better, but since you mentioned it's big for a 1/10, it's serviceable. The Infinity Gauntlet sculpt is bad, though. Messy. The color isn't even right.

Elann Suvat thanks for checking out the video and I’ll take that into consideration when I do the next review. I think the IS Thanos is a great piece at that price point. Even better when you consider it’s not a vinyl material. So if feels hefty. Good luck on your hunt and I hope you can get him.

Got this piece last week and he looks great! Like you said it has a lot of details. I’m usually hesitant to buy anything that’s 1/10 scale but i figured since Thanos is bigger than an average person that the figure wouldn’t look too small. Now I need to buy some of the other pieces to create this diorama 😁

MCE Got the Iron Studios hulk, dr strange, starlord, and iron man on order. Might get falcon too. Don’t really like how Cap and Thor figures look so getting those two from Kotobukiya’s new Premier line, sculpt and paint apps on those prototypes looks really good! Have you considered buying any figures from that line?
