Almost ready for SEMA!! In 1969 when I was 17, I needed a truck for short while. I bought the cheapest running and inspected truck I could find. Of course in those days most every truck was used for some kind of work. It was a sorry....very, very sorry looking truck but for $125 I had a running and inspected truck. It was a '57 Chevy short bed with a 283 (not sure it originally came in truck) and a floor shift conversion. After I was done with it, sold it for what I paid. As far as looks? No exaggeration, the body did not look as good as the '58 here. But, I had a windshield.😂 I grew up about 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh and those salt laden winters were not kind to metal.

Man that's crazy hearing those prices then compared to today, 125.00 ! My dads told me before he's buy a 55 two door hardtop 35.00 and DRIVE it home ! Wish I could have seen those days ! 😳✌

The hauler was too busy posting to his face space page to check if his load was secure. Maybe someone will be kind enough to return the bed, although it’s probably toast.

It’s crazy how young guys today are enthralled by these old trucks and how much they’re willing to pay for a junker like this. These young guys are scraping the bottom of the junkyard barrel.

@@Ironcitygarage I’m not putting you guys down, what I’m saying is young guys today are so hungry for that old iron that they’re willing to pay outrageous amounts of money even for the most rusted out, beat up pile of junk. We used to pay anywhere from $100 to $200 for a running g driving old vehicle. If people are willing to give you good cash take their money and laugh all the way to the bank guys.

I'm so sorry dude but when I heard that carnival music play while the montage of the missing bed was shown I almost burst out laughing, those guys were total idiots and they did not deserve a darn dime. I hope that delivery driver gets fired for his idiocy.

I don't blame you a bit I wouldn't pay him nothing because they lost that that is stupid to lose the bed and not know where you lost it I bet they sold it and just said they lost it
