I can say back when jailbreaking was more common and easier iOS just had more stable and nicer software. Even after a jailbreak iOS just ran better. And I loved having the smoothness of iOS and the features of android. Now I have a Pixel 7 pro and it's a similar kind of experience. Android has grown up a lot since 2011.

I remember jailbreaking my ipad in 2011. Way before they got big, I added a pack that gave me infinite purchases on different apps and games. My sister came and she recently got addicted to candy crush so she asked me to load it and let her log in to buy a bunch of stuff, it worked adn I guess the company didn't kick out accounts that did this. She still plays today with the same account in like level 12000. By this point she alreasy spent all the stuff she bought, but her profile still has some unique upgrades from that time including 8 lives instead of 5.

This actually happened to me years ago when i was using drugs. Very strange things started happening on my phone. Some days there'd be pics of me that i didnt take, i would get facebook story posts from strangers on my timeline that would be referring to what i was doing in my life. The people that were after me when i was an addict were physically interacting with the world around us. They entered my home in 2021 after several facebook posts hinted that i was being watched and was suggesting i hid in my bathroom. When i hid in that bathroom, somebody entered my room, and the Holy Bible began playing on my phone without me doing anything. I was saved and given grace by God in that situation, and since then, i have always kept faith 🙏 ✝️

@@DumpsterFairy97 you could boot a full and real Windows 98 version on Android without any root permissions like 12 years ago. It just ran in a sandbox on top of Android so it was slow and 0% optimized, with root permissions you could also boot it natively (somebody actually spend some real freakin work time to make it boot natively on select Samsung models, don't ask me how or even why idk idc). Pretty sure you can easily boot like Windows 7 in a sandbox on Android nowadays

So many options I swear have been backlogged or turned into the assistant feature in the os but I remember when "development mode" was a prominent option and you could really change dynamics of how your entire os/hardware would function for your exact preference. When I was a teen I had a buddy who jail broke Xboxes, and hacked vending machines. He still paid, but 100% screwed up their sales tracking. And the original XBox could hold a lot more games on that Hard Drive than expected.

When I was doing engineering in college, I literally had a guy like this sitting next to me. He had a Toshiba laptop that he'd taken the hard drive out of, soldered and taped on a USB cable to it, and spent a few lessons gradually deleting Windows files until it would crash on him, took a few lessons to do but then he'd reinstall and begin doing it again from scratch.

I was this kid, I got actually ended up getting a I.S degree and Software Dev degree, its not as bad as in the video (the issues you run into) but it teaches you a fair bit about just how devices work if you look into it enough / try and fix the problem yourself

Jailbreaking doesn't cause viruses, but a jailbroken device can be a lot more damaged by viruses than a non jailbroken one.

Jailbreaking doesn't ruin your phone. It's actually really useful and only ever did good things from what I've seen. Turns it into a pc basically, you can tweak whatever you want with it.

To be fair it does make updates troublesome though. The issue is more with Apple devices themselves, since on a free operating system like DivestOS, CalyxOS, /e/, LineageOS -or even retail Androids- you already have the freedom to run any apps you want and do all sorts of customization without having to root the device that causes this sort of updating problem.

It does tho, it's easier for malwares to bypass rooted/jailbroken phones security, and some apps might not work correctly. You should only jailbreak a phone if you know what you're doing and know not to download suspicious things from the internet.
