Yes the Tuskboss on Maw-Grunta, Ardboys, Brute Ragerz, Ardboys Big Boss Zoggrok Anvilsmasha and Trugg the Troggoth King are here and I've done that thing where you stare longingly at the sprue to find the difficult parts and the bits to watch out for so you don't have to!
Massive thanks to Games Workshop for sending me this avalanche of Destruction early to make this video. This was a pile of fun to do and I can't wait to see what you guys do with all these wonderful new miniatures.

AoS is totally killing it in this new season! Beautiful model sculpts, awesome lore, good game play. 40k will always be 40k but AoS is on the rise.

I grew up with the old world fantasy side of things. Age of sigmar is intriguing to say the least. I am an enormous grand alliance of destruction fan and plan to create my own horde for each of the armies in it's inner circle. These new orruk models and trugg make me pshyced up for a propper fight!

I’ve never played AoS but I agree that the models are going from strength to strength. I think it helps that some of the factions are still expanding and finding their identity, with so many hold overs from Fantasy still to replace as well. It’s more in flux than 40K and even the space marine equivalent does not have the same degree of uniformity, so the designers have more room to play. On the other hand, I like the new Tyranids but mainly it can be summarised as more organic chitin, more tentacles and more brains on display.

I just feel like GW can really let go and make unique sculpts and it really pushes them to try new things. The setting is still so new, so there's always so much to add and flesh out.

When the pig was announced, I was stoked. When they showed off the new ardboys and other models, my wallet started outright crying! The ArdBoys are really the big thing for me. I've always felt that the Black Orc set was kinda 'shoe horned' into the Ironjawz line to flush it out. Their aesthetic just didn't match. These new ones DO.

When it comes to models, I think AoS often hits it out of the park because they don't have the dogma and tradition so ingrained that the designers can't explore unique ideas. In 40k, barring the Primaris (which has echoes of a fustercluck to this day), almost every faction already has their expected aesthetic based on 20-30 years of expectation and nostalgia. Even with a model as impressive as Lion'el, we already had an idea of what he'd look like--we *know* the Lion and we *know* the shape of a loyalist Primarch. They look like... Space Marines. But if you compare that to, like, Tahlia Vedra, there's just no real comparison. That being said, I feel like they could have gone a bit further with Trugg. Both to have a generic variant, and to make him bigger honestly. They keep describing and hyping Trugg as "the biggest troggoth" and that's why he's the king, but he's not really much bigger than a normal Dankhold?

AoS is definately crushing it and releasing amazing and varied miniatures, but you would probably get more views if you painted any space marine instead ...
