Every athlete who steps up to the starting line has a story. This year we have had the fortune to meet some of the most inspiring people in the world. Here are just a few of the countless athletes who inspired us in 2017, and taught us that anything was possible.

honestly, when I am training and fall into a slump, I look at these inspiring people and how truly amazing everyone is, it always and forever will bring spirits up

GOODNESS, I just saw this video on my feeds and decided to watch it just because I was eating lunch by myself at home. I started just crying from the middle to the end.. thinking... like... I have dreams and goals in life and one of them is becoming much healthier than I am today. And I question myself, I have it better than other people while others have it worse. Its amazing to see all these wonderful people strive no matter what has happened and become greater than great and keep climbing that climb in this iron man challenge and also LIFE itself. This video really brought me to tears and also given me a diff. outlook into life.... IF THEY CAN DO IT... I CAN TOO. OPTIMISM BEATS ANYTHING! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.

What a beautiful, inspiring and humbling video. Certainly puts everything into perspective and something I can think of when I'm in the middle of a long run and I'm hurting. You're quite right, anything IS possible.

I can do the swim. Not in the same time as them, but in a somewhat reasonable time. I am very sure I can't do the bikeride, maybe in a very very very slow time. But probably not. As for the run? 100% no chance whatsoever. I can maybe run a mile when running super super slow. Anything longer or faster and I am dying
