ABOUT TJ:
TJ Tollakon is the original Dimond creator and the accomplished CEO of Ruster Sports/ Dimond Bikes. Tollakson began racing in 2001 and quickly proved himself a force to be reckoned with on the bike course. TJ is a proud husband and father to 3 children. You can usually find him pounding the pavement in Des Moines, IA or tinkering with his newest idea at the Dimond Bikes headquarters.
TJ has 10 Ironman podium finishes under his belt, with his favorite being his Mont Tremblant victory. After a bumpy road filled with surgeries and numerous setbacks, TJ used this race to prove he was still at his prime and could lead the pack. One of his latest accolades was an IM PR of 8:04:17 at IM Arizona. He retired in 2021 with his last race being Ironman Des Moines 70.3 in his hometown.

I love it breaking out the old SNL ABGD. Great insight I wonder if Lionel will race 70.3 worlds next week before hitting IBOP for his AARP discount. Really I love Lionel it will be fun to see if he can raise his game one more time but you are right he’s spotting them a lot of years

I was watching your video about doping in triathlon just now and you said probably 50% of the pros in the WC are doing it. I wonder if you think these youngsters are. I know you can't say in public but I'm curious.

Or maybe they found he performs best near that weight. Given he is about an hour faster than our retired commentator here?:)

The race was lost when Ace lead the bike most of the way back into the wind , gustav didnt do any turns, then they alternated every 5km on the run, but blus legs were already gone

I was watching the pro women at Kona getting penalties on the bike course... But as they are coming back I see the age groupers in draft packs. What are your thoughts on drafting at an event like the world championships?

Blummenfelt is like 5'10 170lbs I believe. which is way to large for triathlon let alone a pro 😂. Its so crazy

Blu is actually leaner that his looks suggest. He has a weird physic and he is full of muscle. Not sure he double digit body fat.

There was an incredible amount of bad takes in this video. Kristian's weight, Frodeno being over the hill... etc etc.

That book about race weight needs to talk about exceptions because you even choose a bigger bodied athlete to win. And that bigger body came in third. What's the point of making the comment when it goes against your prediction and irrelevant toward his success?
