Why do you hold 6 darts in your hand when you only throw 3?

hes's explained it before, its because of how lose his grip is he often drops darts so instead of messing up his throwing groove he just holds more than 3 darts

Yes, I drop them too often. I'm not only holding 4 or 5. Sometimes they jam up in my hand when I hold too many. PLUS when I practice, I throw all 6 for reps and muscle memory. I'm a late bloomer in this sport. I'm trying to pay catch-up.
