If "oh man, I'm the wisened elder" is your metric, it kicks in about the time all the "wisened elders" you recal start dying of old age and you realize you're now living life with seniority. If "Oh man, I'm old now" is your metric... a conversation with a legal adult who was born after your adolescence about pop culture will do it.

Yeah, I'm 29 in a month and the past ten years went by in a blink of an eye, in retrospect. I know I'm still not "old" by any means, but it gives me some degree of anxiety for the years to come.

@@BelenusValikonis Some people manage to "grow up" and convince themself and those around them that they're "an adult" of course, but im 39 and i still just "fake it and hope for the best".. Granted, i am on the spectrum though, so not exactly an "average" test sample

I just turned 31 and I don't have my shit together, but I will say that being this age makes me want a more secure life and something more grounded so I'm working towards that.

You’ll find it my dude. I’m 32 and I’ve just settled into a comfortable situation with safe people I can trust for a very long time. It felt like it wouldn’t ever happen but it has come to pass without me even realising

30 is probably a good age these days, generally most folks seem to have gotten through their crazier 20's and are more mellow/level headed by 30 based on my experience. Can't speak for others though.

same. my hair stylist was actually surprised i was 47. she didn't think i had the hair of your average "near 50 year old dude". Her opinion was that I probably wasn't going to lose my hair at all, or at least not until I'm REALLY old, given how thick it is.

Connor is so right. I just hit 40, but honestly 30 to 39 were amazing for self-discovery, accepting things I cannot change, locking in the things I could change and work toward, and stability. All the fun of my 20s, but with far less stress and bs attributed to how others perceive me.

For men at least, after 30 you can get a second hormonal change. A lot of people gen a deeper voice and get bald after that. But if you dont get bald after that mini second puberty, you probably will keep that air until you get old. External things like stress, bad nourishment still will influense that thou
