So a lot of you want to see the original stream where the $2000 donation goal took place initially, but that vod was made back in April, which means it's gone... But I have the next best thing... I have a screen recording of the entire event itself, from her implementing the donation goal to when she leaves out of tears of joy... THIS TIME, IT IS NOT EDITED...

How many subs did she have when this happened? also how long was she streaming before this? If she had a decent amount of subs and was streaming for a while I believe that goal is just randomly assigned (made it large not to pressure anyone). Because depending on the answers to those questions she must have known how much streamers make. I love mouse as much as the next person but there is no way you can honestly think it would take that long unless you have maybe 10-100 viewers on average.

This is not "being a simp". This is good people knowing that a disabled girl needs help, and running to gave that to her. Not wasting time, not discussing it. Someone is in real need just to make the hell their life is a bit more bearable, and human beings answering that call instantly. They will never meet her. They will never see what their charity got. And they do not care. They just want to help someone smile. Folks. That's not being a simp. That is being the best part of being human. Even those with only 5$ donations. Rejoice. She won't get better, not without some serious advancement in the medical research of CVID. Her condition is for life and a wildly guessed median age for women is 44 years, which means half of women suffering from CVID die before 44, and half after that. That number will most probably go up with progress in research, but how fast is hard to say. To even have those chance, she needs frequent immunoglobin infusions (from once a week to once a month) that are extracted from donated plasma, and needs to be kept away from as many diseases as possible (hence why she's stuck at home and bedridden most of the time). It's sad, but that's the reality. However, it's amazing that in this day and age with the available technology, Mouse is able to entertain herself and earn money, basically being a normal member of society. That would not be possible some 20 years ago, which shows that the medical advancements aren't the only thing that can improve patients' lives. She bought off her parent's house? Imagine the way that must make her feel. She was bedridden and "didn't feel normal" and her community, her "precious family" that she built, empowered her to take care of her family. Someone who is getting taken care of has gotten the opportunity to take care of those she loves. I would break down right there.

@@technicalluck1352 Yeah, as a Christmas present. And the fact that she got big while doing something that started as a way for her to be less lonely is also a great thing. Especially that that is now her way of being able to get all the medical care that she needs and that she can do things like that as a thank you. I wouldn't be surprised if she was able to move because of that as well.

Anyone with a physical disability/health issues knows how mousy feels, it's hard to feel normal when you can't do what others can, or needed special assistance. Even my disability (I'm an albino) which doesn't limit me nearly as much as hers does used to make me feel very embarrassed, and ostracized from the 'normal' people around me to go through life feeling that way, and to finally have a supportive fanbase like she does must be the most precious achievement of her life, and I'm truly happy for her.

God damn that line. “Thanks for letting me feel human...” That makes me cry. Not only because her fanbases’s generousness but also because of how genuine and overwhelmed Mousey must be feeling. For someone as vulnerable as her - with her autoimmune disease and relative lack of outside interaction - it must be really hard to feel like people actually care about you. But to see just how much her fan base cares about her and well-being and wants to help her in any way they can, despite none of them ever actually meeting her, is such a powerful thing to see.

This further proves a point that I love to see. If you challenge the internet, you will almost always lose, especially in something like this. Get a large community and give them a donation goal for a cause, and watch it be SHATTERED, especially when reaching that goal could lead to more content and maybe even "better" content.

I’ve been studying in the field of Biology to go into physical therapy and/or bio mechanical medical engineering. This hurts my soul to see people who feel so disconnected from the world because of a uncontrollable condition. This is the reason I wanted to go into my current field of studies. No one should suffer from dis-functionality everyone should be given the chance to be normal. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Ironmouse. I just thought she was another normal girl VTuber. Now I realize this is how she connects with the world. I have grown respect for both Mouse and CORPSE faster than any other KZfaqr for the conditions they battle constantly. I’ll find myself watching more of Mouse in the future, she deserves a better life.

Same here, I just believe them to be nothing more than people playing on the horny aspect of everyone with their words, avatars, and actions. But with this one, Glubbable, and ex-TomboyVR, there is so much more behind many of them. Many of them are using this as an outlet for freedom and exploration of themselves. They don’t have to worry about whatever history they had; instead, they can put on this mask and be loved as they are. Makes me wonder what will happen should I get a persona...

Love the unified camaraderie in Mousey's chat. All I see are good vibes and positivity towards her and the fact they raised over $2,000, not counting bit donations, in less than 10 minutes is astonishing. You can call her chat whatever you want but in opinion these people are absolute legends in getting her the new bed which is her workspace. Praises and complete respect to the chat and faith in humanity restored.

This... this is one of the strongest reasons why Vtubing should be fully supported as a Profession and not looked down upon. These people who bring us hours of endless content, laughs, and the occasional tear, work so hard to bring out the best of themselves in this form of entertainment. Mousey is just ONE example of why being a Vtuber can be an excellent choice in both career and socializing. How many other Vtubers are there that are struggling physically right now and cannot do much, if anything, for themselves, that we are completely unaware of? How many of them had nowhere to turn when it came to finding a job or being able to make money and support themselves because they could not physically, emotionally, or mentally perform the roles that everyday jobs demand? Nearly every line of work these days requires that the individual being mobile in some form. Even work-at-home jobs such as Transcription or IT Support companies often require that you have a set amount of space to perform the tasks that they require of you, based on their own company standards. If you don't meet their requirements, then you don't get the job. Transcription may not be the best example for that, but again, we don't know the individual's situation or their needs, Transcribing may be more than what they could accomplish. How about individuals who suffer from severe or crippling social anxiety or trauma that can hardly cope with being in the same room with more than two other people, being pushed into jobs that demand they face hundreds of people a day and they end up going home stressed as hell and ready to fall apart? Many people would tell them to "Grow up" or "Get Used to it." But that's just not how it works. Yes, some people can bulldoze their way through their fear and anxiety, but not everyone is that strong, and many more struggle to find work that pays enough for them to get by on, much less actually live their lives. The Vtubers we know and love have had to make sacrifices of their own to get to the point that they are at now so that they COULD have a career and be able to live their lives, not just survive on what they had. A 3D Vtuber Model and rigging are expensive, a 2D Model and rigging are even more so. How many meals do you think Mousey had to skip out on to be able to save up for her model? How many times did she push back her medications, trying to save for days where she might need them most and sacrificing her own health, to be able to put back for this? She, like many others that we may not know about, has invested all that she is and all that she has into this, and that is why we should not treat her or the other Vtubers any different than how we treat those who work in the entertainment industry. We need to support them and show them that they are not alone and that they are loved and appreciated for all that they do. They are not Commodities, they are not Things to be treated as a passing fancy, they are HUMAN BEINGS. Real people, who work their hardest on what they do and with what means that they have available to them. I apologize for the literal wall of text, but I feel really strongly about this. Support your favorite Vtubers guys, it's the least we can do.... Edit: also, yes, I realize I'm posting the months after this video was posted and everything, but I'm still diving down the Vtuber Rabbit Hole and MAN this thing is deep! xD

Holy man. I was not expecting *that.* I know of IronMouse and see her here and there, but knew almost nothing about her. But holy crap this was an emotional ride. Had no idea about her situation, and that just broke my heart. “I used to feel so ashamed of my body not working right.” “I want to be able to sit up easier and go outside.” “Thank you for making me feel human.” As someone who’s not usually too emotional, that absolutely broke me. Just, right to my soul. Bless her heart. This is one of those smiles we need to protect.

While not bedridden as Mousey is, I am epileptic and have chronic mid-lower back pain that severely inhibits my ability to function as most would. And those are are just the two worst of multiple issues. And I feel so bad for her uet at the same time so happy that being a vtuber has opened up so many doors for her that she otherwise never would have had. I thank God, when it enters my mind, that she is now able to financially support not only herself but her parents and has soany wonderful friends, like Connor, who goes above and beyond to make sure she gets to see and enjoy things she otherwise would have no access to. It is a staunch prayer of mine that she is somehow, some way able to go to some of the places she wants to go some day. Peace be to you.
