What makes Kuro so hilarious is that you can't actually tell if he's being real or not half the time. Like he has the moments where he sounds smart, but then the very next second he says something that is just so off the wall you're not sure if anything is going on in his head.

@@U1TR4F0RCEI wouldn't put it past Kuro. But British geography and history is very different to American geography and history. Geography to us refers to study of land, and so learning about tectonic plates, rock sedimentation, and volcanoes gets lumped in there too. It's not just learning about all the countries for us, and when it is it's usually very Euro-centric. History is also British-centric. We learn about Britain's role in WW2, making Britain seem like the most important role in WW2 the same way the US, Russia and France teach that they were the most important, up until the US nuke Japan. We learn about the Roman empire, Celts. We also learn about the British empire, which also teaches us about India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, etc. Americans are only taught a lot about Latin American history and culture because of the big Latino culture in the US, whereas we have close to 0 Latino representation in the UK. We learn about India and Pakistan instead. The world is taught very differently in each country.

Tbf, we have 0 Latino representation in the UK. We have no relation to any of the Latin American countries and therefore have no need to learn about them. And they don't teach about them in school. We learn about Europe and Commonwealth countries instead, and important ex-British empire colonies, especially India and Pakistan because South Asians are the biggest minority group in the UK after Black people (though data suggest there are more people of South Asian descent than those of African or Carribean now). The most we learn about Latinos is that the Aztecs are from central america where Mexico is.

@@ChaosXTheProject The concept of North America didn't exist when the Aztecs weren't around, those boundaries had not been defined yet. I'm just talking about the general area of central america, in the middle where Mexico is, that's where the Aztecs were.

It's the overarching cultural group of all people from Latin American (all countries in North and South America outside of Canada and the US proper). The common origin for all these countries is a base Native American cultural background that was mixed with, and largely replaced by, Spanish or Portuguese culture during the colonial period. In Spanish speaking countries it is largely interchangeable with "Hispanic" to an extent that some Brazilians don't feel Latino applies to them as they speak Portuguese and not Spanish.

@@kaydoubleu5802 Should point out that the Caribbean region is a partial exception to the rule, where most people speak neither Spanish nor Portuguese but rather a plethora Anglo-Creole and Franco-Creole languages. Kind of funny they got roped into Latin America that way, but they do reflect the general cultural fusion characteristic of much of Latin America at least.
