@@kushking5354 The trades are rough. Especially when you get older. Even with the current trade, I get up in the morning and sit on the edge of my bed and say Jeez, here we go again. It takes a ton of effort to finally get up from that bed. By 9, once you had a bit of coffee and a bit of hustle you kind of get into it. By 4 o'clock when I come home I am a carcass. When you finally stop moving your body starts pointing out all these parts that start hurting; knees, back, elbows, neck etc etc. Just gets worse with age. I can just imagine being in that sun hustling on top of those beams. Jeez. Spoke with an Ironworker who was about my age, he was foreman or something to that affect. He complained of being a walking invalid essentially.

Being an iron worker was one the hardest jobs I’ve done in my life. Cool experience and it’s awesome to see the building come together from scratch to finish. The hardest part for me is working with steel in -20c to -30c, the heights can be intimidating specially when its windy and you can feel the structure steel swaying a bit from the wind. Awesome to to see this randomly pop up on my feed. Brought back memories some good and bad lol

I've always wanted to try this out but friend of mine, a union scaffolder, said these heights take serious balls! Lots of guys have frozen up in the past at several hundred feet while building the towers around reactors and the likes for other trades to work from. Several lifts of scaffold and insulating a 8 story building wasn't bad for me, worked over open parapets with a harness but nothing of this magnitude. You have my respect!

well if you ever do watch 2:17 and dont. The guy has his elbow like an inch away from his cutting torch. I mean its one thing to be tough and handle all the sparks stabbing at you ya i can do that but a 4,000 degree cutting torch that close to your arm is a good way to lose an arm. And theres no kind of pain like 2nd and 3rd degree burns ive had it and its the worst pain in the world. All the stuff these guys do is scary and dangerous as heck but atleast they got harnesses. that was the most risky thing in the whole video imo.
