It's been pretty much a year! But out of curiosity, do you still remember the timeframe from when you started creating the roughs up to the finished piece? Did you mostly study the artists style along the way with the your own process, or did you kind of have a feel on what, and more importantly how you needed to accomplish these techniques from the very start? I've been making attempts to study and implement some art styles into my own design from my favorite artists, but I do tend to struggle with time because many of them have particular and different ways they use the software that I'm unaware of. I'd love some advice on if you think it's still worthwhile and effective to put a lot of time into studying an artists style without having time-lapse videos, how they organize their layers, what kind of blending modes they use, etc.
