For most digital use its enough for bigger prints not quite.

It seems to be good enough for most photos unless your printing them over like 20 inches.

Ive printed fairly large prints from my a7siii and they look great. Also not really being able to crop forces you to get better at composition. If I’m gonna print I use enhance tool in Lightroom

@@KyleWattsTV Totally agree mate! First day around New York I was shooting mainly with the Sony A7SIII and really makes you think about framing first. Gonna have to print an image with the Sony A7SIII and put it to the test. The enhancer tool I've heard is great for giving extra resolution! ⚡

12mp is enough and easy to share. But the problem occur when you want to crop photos. For example, if you want to crop horizontal to vertical photos, the resolution is not enough. This is not problem when shoot with 24mp camera.

Thanks for sharing Curtis :) I picked up a SonyA7sIII a few weeks ago, sold my A7III and Lumix G9. I thought I might have made a mistake selling off my A7III but I took the A7sIII out last weekend. To a bikers show and took some photo's then used your 143 lightroom presets and was really happy with the A7sIII. Looked back on some photo's when I was using the A7III and can't pick the difference between the two. Now I've watched this vlog I feel that I made a good call. :) Looking forward to seeing some more content on the A7sIII on your channel :) P.S. when ya coming down under to do some shooting ? :). I occasionally use the super 35 crop on my A7iii, which gives around 11mp. If your framing is on point then it’s not a problem. I’d be interested to see some prints rather than comparing on ig/yt

First, congrats on zeroing in on 30K subs - must be there as of this writing, or soon after. Well deserved.👍 Topside vid and stills - great advantage of the fog. Gotta show us more of the York Wall and that “tower thingy”😊- topside down and downside looking up at the staircase, as example. 12MP enough for most shots in hands of mindful photographer who knows how to fill the frame. Where the A7S series shines, as I understand it, is in low light performance - suggest return to these venues at night for comparison w/A74. Minor nit pick😁 - Go-Pro (?) showing LED/fluorescent light flicker for many street and shop lights. Perhaps you can adjust settings to solve it. Cheers!

Great Vid as always Curtis, I reckon 12mp is enough it tests you on framing your image correctly. I reckon I need to invest in more camera lenses for my Sony something like a 35mm or 85mm so I’m not using my 28-70mm when I’m doing street photography

I’ve not watched this yet but will soon, I’ve just sold my A7IV because for me my A7siii is more than enough for photography EVEN with a moderate crop. I love the files out of it!

@@CurtisPadley yeah having both was great as physically they’re the same but I couldn’t justify both so had to decide which one I loved most. Personally 12MP is more than enough for me.

Great video as always! I can't say if 12mp is enough because I've never shot with it. I have 20mp myself and these are sufficient for my things. I have another question. Which focus method do you use the most? 🤙

I'm in love with York, I've been an exchange student for six months there and I have tons of memories. Seeing those streets after some years made me tear up a bit not gonna lie! I hope I can be there soon to take lots of shots and see the friends I made some years ago
