the citadel is more of the luxury look with its brushed aluminum chrome look and alacantara liner, while the RT is the sporty esp with the hood scoops/grille and blacktop package. the 3.6 L tows 6200, the hemi 5.7 v8 tows 7300 but with tow n go, its up to 8700

A lady at work had the 2017 model I believe and it is the best looking Durango I've seen without being a SRT package! 🐊🦅🇵🇷

This reviewer was totally negative about this vehicle. The hemi can get into the low to mid sixes 0 to 60 that’s not bad for a vehicle that weighs nearly 5,300 pounds. I’m not sure what he was expecting what a waste of time.

Thanks for watching. I post my unbiased opinions about vehicles that i test and they can be different from yours. It is not only about the 0-60 accelaleration but the overall "feel" of the vehicle. I liked the same engine in Jeep Grand Cherokee much better.

I am in the market for one of these, either the Citadel or the R/T. Seems that the 2021 Citadel has every option (except for TV) however, on the R/T, you get to pick and choose. The sport hood and blackout package on the R/T make this a difficult decision. I actually talked to the people at this dealership and I will tell you all now, don't waste you breath with them, go someplace else unless you are willing to pay MSRP, then this dealership is for you.

I agree it a little plane Jane but has nice features. It is priced too high I think compared to the rt or even the gt plus. Although I do like the more prestigious look.

You are wrong on the tow capacity. The V8 Should be 7200lbs/7400lbs depending on AWD OR RWD.

Towing its based on the trim model itself . Not all V8 tow the same . The RT tow and go has a 8700lbs towing capacity .

@@MattTheCarguy Lane Keep Assist. Does it lane center? How well does it work? What about the updated sensors? How has Dodge improved the tech, which is obviously updated.

The Air Intakes on my 2020 GT V6 are real, so its hard to believe that their Fake with a V8 now.

I have a 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel that we bought brand new in May 2011 shortly before I graduated from high school. It's a good car. It's finished of with the Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl exterior and black leather interior. As of 2022, it only has 45,000 miles on it. The original 5.7L HEMI V8 is still going strong. Plus, it still has the original tires from the factory that are still going strong as well. However, there will eventually come a time where all the original tires will need to be replaced. The car was driven locally through out most of 11 years of it's life. The only time we'd take the car on longer drives is if we're going on vacation trips. 2011 was a new redesign for the Durango as it goes into it's 3rd generation. The 1st generation was made from 1998 to 2003. The 2nd generation was made from 2004 to 2009. There are no 2010 year models. The 3rd generation started in 2011 and it's still going on today. The 3rd generation has lasted much longer than the first two generations.

@@MattTheCarguy Actually, I do have two more cars that I do drive daily. I daily drive a Midnight Blue 2005 Dodge Magnum SXT and a Surf Blue 2010 Jeep Wrangler Islander.

Towing is 7200 lbs, not 6200. If You get the 5.7 HEMI V8 option, then You don’t give a rats ass about gas mileage. Also My Durango Citadel getting delivered is dk red interior with black trim. Don’t like the all black. If u want more acceleration outta the hemi, then go into sport mode.

6200 lbs is for the v6 engine, 7200 with the 5.7 v8 correct. I just saw a Hellcat at the dealership. That sounds pretty sweet as well. Has anyone ever looked at the paint job on these? All look like they have been repainted especially on the front door. Just noticed that today.

Well it is non luxury. One other thing i want to point out. Has anyone seen the paintwork on the Durango? All of them look like they have been repainted. Especially on large panels like doors.
