I enjoy these review vlogs. I can see this bit of kit being used by some in a domestic setting. You touched on the fact that we are at the end of British Summer Time, so it would be useful if you could repeat the tests during winter, say, January or February 2024.

Had to send the Power block back, it would not switch on after a month's lay off. Afferiy were helpful, after some prompting paid for collection and delivery of new unit. Pleased I saved the delivery box for the return. New one seems to work OK, Afferiy were a bit iffy as I had owned it for over 3 months...........

Actually it's good, arrived on time, it's heavy, read instructions carefully...and away you go..... Saved me a big connection charge, not sure about the Solar panel, might go for a smaller one. ThanKs.

The IP rating is actually two things. The first digit tell how big a stick you can get into the innards and the second digit tell the water resistance.

Great video, actually got me really interested but not mentioning NZ so will have to see if available here. Miss Debs but know she will be back and hope her Mum is doing OK. We are of an age now where our parents are struggling and I lost both mine in the past year but they have had long lives and had some fun. Miss them but lots of memories to cherish, spend as much time as you can with them. Were you showing off that fabulous physique now with the dive 🤣🤣 you are both looking great and it is inspiring. Excellent review. Hmmm, there are power cords that go UP instead of down and that flappy door would prevent those from being plugged in as well, what a bad design, as you say at the outset. Wow, don't like those weak floppy solar panels ... wind, rain, dogs, people walking by, whatever. And then the kicker ... "Don't get them wet"??? I don't know of one solar panel in the universe that says that. That's bizarre. What about natural happening dew of a lovely morning? So all of this also depends on what you are using to STORE the electricity from the solar panels. If the storage unit isn't able, then it won't store the full input from the panels even overnight. After one night, the Aferiy unit dropping from 100% to 62% is a huge drop, meaning the storage unit isn't up to snuff. Especially since you surely were simply sleeping there overnight and not having a dancing video music party. :-) And the next morning ... aack ... you say there is no amperage/wattage going in, and yet there is light in the sky. Those solar panels should be pulling in something even in the rain, but obviously they are pulling in nothing. They did not perform flawlessly. Who would buy that system? So, a 2.4KW Aferiy system (with a peak of 4,000KW) produces only 1.675KW? Of course there is resistance in wires, such like that, but that's a huge difference in advertised rating and actual production. Another thing not addressed in your review is whether the storage unit actually stores the electricity efficiently over weeks or months, when it's not in use. My first 500W GoPower unit went completely dead after one month of not being used ... it's in the trash. My 2,000W Renogy units (two of them) stayed at 100% full power even after six months of storage with no use. And the Renogy solar panels are robust, producing full amperage even in rain ... and the system actual does produce the amperage advertised, unlike the Aferiy system. No the lawn mower current draw, even at start up, should be just fine for the Aferiy. It is NOT amazing that it worked as it should. No need for you to test that. It's also the other oddities and the lack of power production that would concern me, lack of storage, lack of lots of things. The Aferiy system does not do as advertised. I've tested five different remote solar power systems ... of those available to me here in the USA, Renogy is the best, absolutely, hands down, unequivocally. And ... yes, I live in the cloudy, very cloudy, rainy Pacific Northwest of the USA ... Renogy works better than anything. Your review was excellent! In the end, I wouldn't touch Aferiy with a ten foot pole, as they say. No way.

Hi Mark thank you for getting back, I asked about the Jackery 240 station and would it run my Lenovo PC it is a 20V 3.25a and you plug into mains normally. I am thinking of buying incase of power cuts, and help me through the night( is that asong?) I have followed you since you and Deb's have been on cut as they say. You do know a lot about electrics so would grab your advice by both hands thank you for your help. I am 70 yoa. Please take care ! Solar generator is better to be safe and sorry. Not that I know but they usually good. I wouldn't like to stick the solar generator in the rain tho.
