The loot was shit because you entered a “solo dungeon” as 3 people (green rifts) , the group dungeons are the blue rifts

I've been playing this game solo for half a year now, and hearing you say solo gameplay isn't fun can deter a lot of solo players from playing this game, as i've found it to be very fun, especially since you can find 1v1 pvp in corrupted dungeons, and the combat certainly isn't simple. I get that you haven't played this game for enough time, but yeah

I would agree with most things on this list except for pvp you can do corrupted dungeons which are solo / hellgates which are 2v2 and 5v5

You missed the whole Roads of Avalon part, which solves the PvP complaints you mentioned. It's an area where big groups aren't possible and forces small group pvp instead. It's actually really great.

That JollySunKnight guy seems pretty good at the game, and he looks so hunky.

Something worth mentioning is that every piece of equipment is player made, even the drops from bosses were made by a player once, they have a "black market" were you sell items to the game and those items end up being dropped by a boss somewhere, it also act as an item sink to keep supply and demand balanced, that way it's very hard to crash the market and resources are always worth getting, oh and the market/bank is different on every city, they don't connect like rs exchange/bank.... Good luck if you forget where you banked something.

Nothing captures that familiarity, fun and ease that Runescape does (both OSRS and RS3) I've tried SO many MMORPGs and never have come across anything close to the experience I have when playing Runescape. Love that you take the time to explore other games!

Loot is evenly shared. Sometimes 1 really good item drops, and it can only go to one, random person. That's just how it is. Everything else is shared evenly. The 'taking your dungeon loot' isn't a thing outside of complete noob zones, as they will be hostile to you in the end game. People don't steal your resources in the end game either.... again just an issue in complete noob zones (that you spend less than 1-2 days in). Only noobs have global chats toggled on. Premium isn't OP, it's baseline. It takes less than 1 day to get 30 days of premium with ingame money. Many people will be able to enjoy Albion, but it's mainly for people who like group PvP in an sandbox environment where you can affect other people through your gameplay (taking their land and items, literally).. and all the juicy drama that comes with it. It's the most competitive ZvZ game around.

I tried Albion a little while ago. Had fun with it until you have to go to a big city to craft the next tier of items. One guild basically had a monopoly over everything and crafting costs were so high, that you lost so much money trying to craft anything yourself. It was a total turnoff from the game. Everything else seemed pretty fun, but the crafting mechanics in the game make me angry. I should be able to profit if I make something from scratch instead of lose money. Another thing that bugged me was dungeons are almost always empty. I'd love to have instanced dungeons or at least a timer to let me know when it was going to respawn. I'd sit in a dungeon for 10 minutes waiting for it to respawn and nothing would happen. The grind of it was similar to Runescape, but RS beats out Albion in many ways.

Just started playing a week ago and I love it so far. I do wish they had more content though because some things get repetitive.

Love this series, it's cool to see other MMOs getting attention. I recommend Neverwinter. It's a game in the Dungeons and Dragons universe and I used to play it alot and keep wanting to go back to it. Shame I lost the console I played it on.

So many lessons that jagex could learn from Albion. Im not sure i ever would make the switch fully but thats because I've been on RS for so long.

dying in the black in albion can be a bit traumatizing especially when u see the bright red screen after u get pked or killed coming from a player who has been playing it for the past 4 months

Remember if someone joins your dungeon you can switch to pvp mode if youre in a blue/yellow zone and kill them :) Also, this game is amazing on android/tablet

Played RuneScape since 2001... played it until 2015 and once I found Albion Online I haven't touched OSRS since, apart from DMM. Albion is the best MMO if you're into full loot PvP. I would say once you learn the game, the combat isn't simple... end-game 5v5 crystal league content is insane and the skill gap is massive in the top 10 teams.

I checked out this game in 2015, so I'm technically a founder, but I barely played it. I'd always been wondering how it'd been doing. Great video.

The reason loot is open to any players in a dungeon is because most dungeons in the game are in PvP areas where you can enter and gank (or get ganked). Players that gank, kill you, and end up finishing the dungeon can't be locked out of getting loot just because they weren't in your party. In regards to gathering: it's much easier to find more plentiful (and higher quality) gathering resources in more "dangerous" PvP zones. In regards to solo PvP: corrupted dungeons are great, but faction PvP is also great for solo players because it's super easy to pug.

Core punk is a new MOBAish/MMORPG similar too this just with more direction and features i.e. fog of war mechanics. It will probably be better for players who are more PvE focused but can also dibble into PvP every now and then. Ill be checking that out once it launches maybe around spring of next year. Great video bro.

what i like about this game is the pvp content, escape from blobs, outplaying groups as solo, and large scale faction fights. every time you get a kill it feels so amazing which make you want more.

As a solo player since beta 4 years ago you can succeed as a solo player especially if you get good at pvp. It used to suck but they have done an alright amount to help out the solo duo playerbase

I love your Runescape videos and this was also a very good video. I would say you are a bit harsh on the solo player gameplay as it is possible to play solo but you are correct in assuming its not as optimal and can be very difficult. I have played this game for a long time not as long as my 15+ years in Runecape but I can safely say this game is better in a lot ways than Runescape. Albion has better PvP by far but not better PvE or story simply because Albion has lots of dungeons and PvE content but not to the scale or variety of Runescape. Albion also has no quests / story and has background lore and that's about it while Runescape has lots of quests and story. This being said Albion full loot PvP is much better than Runescapes PvP in every way and if your a combat oriented player Albion online is the game for you but if you like story and quests then stick to Runescape. If you ever want a proper tour of the game hit me up and ill take you on a journey down the rabbit hole as this game can get quite deep.

i recently have been getting into albion, mostly because my osrs account got hacked and all my shit is gone. But im really enjoying it, almost more than osrs. no more trash quests with random gathering skill requirements to wield weps and shit

I don’t think you should tell people they have to play in large groups. That’s 100% false. You can play PvP in groups of 2s or 3s. Once you get to the black zone you will go up against other similar sized groups or single players. The large guilds claim territory and long as you stay away from them they won’t bother you (unless ofc they are ganking far away in that case just keep an eye out while you’re gathering) Lastly… dude. Close your dungeon. The entrance to the green dungeons go away after 60-90 seconds after you enter it. If you don’t want to deal with people entering then waiting for the timer before clearing. That will stop others from entering behind you. Especially in full loot zones.

Solo player pvp against group is actually fun.. me naked on t3 ox chasing 10 red gankers who refuse to kill me.

There’s plenty of solo content, I solo more often than grouping up lol. The steak able resources is a plus to me

Not much help but hold shift and left click puts items into your inventory. Hold shift and right click puts it straight in its equip slot

After searching the entire internet, this seems a legit review of this game.

You play Albion for PvP ,especially ZvZ. The Blackzone is what it is all about ;) Nothing in gaming gets my blood pumping like ZvZ. And yes, what really got me into Albion was having a nice guild, I think if you go solo youll be bored quite fast.

Im a fairly wealthy runescape player but i cant do alot since i dont have any membership i thought albion was pretty cool but my wifi is slow so before i spend ours waiting for it to download i gotta see if its as good as it looks

You forgot to mention, no matter cup size with female character you play as, the armor chest piece has set chest size your female character is scale to, which is weird af

hey protoxx, i was your daily viewer until i played Albion 3 months ago. And now im kinda hooked. I agreed with your opinions in the most parts, but it seems like we have to emphasize the core, USP (unique selling points) of each game. For me, Runescape is a SOLO PvE MMO. And Albion is a FULL LOOT PVP. So, on the surface, they seem like the same (gathering, crafting, PvE, PvP...) but for me, they are totally 2 different games. In short, if u like PvE, quests and stories, play Runescape. If u are a PvPer, like MOBA gerne (DOTA, LOL) and want to be PvP right at the start, play Albion.

The only thing i didn't like about Albion that made me stay with RS3 is the quests. Albion Online besides the tutorial, doesn't have any quests

Alot about this guide is flawed, Solo PVP IS VIABLE. they are adding more and more solo pvp experiences in albion and its very viable to do! The materials being stolen is also necessary because the whole point in albion is that the materials are limited and you have to fight other guilds or people for the rare materials. You can do whatever you want and dont need a guild even if you want to play in a group since the LFG chat is filled with groups looking for people ALL DAY! please do some research about the newest updates before making a review like this because it's quite misleading! ur chasing solo pvp players away wich is bad because they are what we need alot now to fill that group of players in the game!

Agreed with most of your review, but have to disagree on the competitive resource gathering. Having that scarcity and competition is a huge pillar of the game's economy and how everything fits together. If you decide to stick to the game look into Caerleon and how the black market works. That said, if you're annoyed with people taking your gathering nodes then PvP flag and most will back off. Of course you will see gankers from time to time...

Albion online has better combat then RS3. RS3 has that problem where if you click on your special attack on the bar it won't use it right away and has like that 1 second delay. Albion combat is more fast paced and fluid. Albion online has better controls where you can move your character better and easier because 1 thing I hate about both RS is clicking to move or clicking on the map to move. Also in Albion you can pick up your loot a lot better and in RS3 I hate how you click on a loot and then 10 items pop up from the same spot and when you click on the item you want to get it also has that 1 secondish delay where it doesn't right away go into your inventory bag. But that's my opinion

A lot of your points make zero sense and can be debunked easily by "just go in to the black zone". In your clips you stayed in tbe Blue Zone the entire time. This game is the black zone, especially at early player and isnt just end game content. I started playing this game 4 days ago and have already made my first 2 mil by just going in the black zones. Yea I've died and lost all my gear 3 times but the amount of profit I've made meant I can replace that set 20 times over so what I lost doesnt matter.

Cheers for the review. The game looks just like other cookie cutter mmorpg for mobile and it will revolve around grueling grind. It's just you and your fingers. I'll be sticking with Black desert mobile for now. I love to decorate my base, enjoyed making profits in trading and hunting world boss / guild rush. The game overall graphic is way better. The only downsize is pvp because I'm a merchant xD
