I had an affiliate for 3years and a great record with amazon, but out of nowhere had an account closure and they withheld over $6,000 because “they reserve the right to close accounts with or without reason.” Tried to appeal and the reason they gave me was complete crap and said I mailed my links to people. MAILED through the MAIL! Which was false and offered anything and everything to prove otherwise but kept emphasizing “with or without reason” 😞

I don't find products featured in memes any less scammy than just making a sponsored post. I think going for a viral product is less effective than showing something people use every day in a viral post. Like if you have a tictoc account where you made cocktails and had affiliate links to your bartending supplies and videography tools that makes sense. If I'm looking for those things maybe I'd be like oh "greg" uses this one and I can support him by buying this one. I'll buy this one from his affiliate link instead of this other cheaper one.
