Can you do an updated video on your budget? I've been following your channel for years and it's been a while since your last one. I understand the "hypothetical invest X for Y years at Z%", but seeing a post-tax budget is different.

My university is full of bureaucracy between academic staff causing some to put there courses online while others are still on campus. This has become highly inefficient and unpractical because it has caused on campus and online classes to be back to back meaning I have to do the online class in the university library and then go to class. This has not helped in preventing covid at all because I still have to attend university since I don't have enough time to commute between back to back on campus and online classes. It just fells like laziness and cheapness on the lecturers behalf and don't get me started on recycled lectures.

what do you learn in the masters that you did not learn in there bachelors and is it necessary to go back to grad school

Bachelors is general and masters is specific. Masters I chose a specific field within Electrical Engineering. For example in undergrad(bachelors) I learned to design amplifiers from transistors, however there are a lot of limitations that were not considered...now I am designing circuits for microwaves...it’s like designing a car with a Max speed of 20 mph vs 200 mph ...very different techniques.

When you said in the beginning of applying whether online or in campus do you mean during your bachelors years ago or currently now for masters and when did you start the masters and when will you finish

When you applied for masters when did you apply month and year and was it during a time when you knew it was going to be online or was it advertised to be on campus also how did you apply did you need gre or letter of rec
@RelearnMath
@RelearnMath 3 жыл бұрын
Yes I took the GRE and had letters of req but due to the pandemic I didn’t actually need them. They were waived. I applied right when the shutdown was about to start, back in Feb/March of 2020. It was still considered on campus.

Hello, allow me to explain my situation. I'm 19 fresh out of High School and in a month I will leave home to join the U.S. Air force. I signed a 6 year contract which means I will have a full time job (8 hours a day 5 days a week) for the following 6 years. The air force pays 100% of the tuition costs of any public schools you wish to attend during active duty so price is not a problem. Just like you, I also intend on getting an Engineering Degree from an online school. My biggest concern and my question to you is: Will employers take me less seriously for having an online Bachelors degree instead of a "real" one? Other questions I have include: - Do you think its realistic to obtain a 4-year online degree in 6 years while having a full time job? - What is the best way to spread out the class hours so that it works out (keep in mind I have 6 years to get it done) - Is there a difference between different online schools in terms of prestige and respect just like with physical schools? Thank you so much for the video and the answers.

Hello, I’m in the same situation as you. I’m working full time and looking to get an engineering degree online. I’m curious what school you ended up enrolling in?

@@dylantroche8424 hello there. Still haven’t started. My tech school was 8 months long and now I have been working my actual job but I’m not qualified fully. I have to be fully qualified in my job before I can start using the tuition assistance. But so far I plan to study aeronautics with embry riddle university online. Hope it helps

So, I was in the same boat but just left active duty after 5 years and became a Reservist. Everyone’s situation is different. I achieved my Bachelor’s in applied management while active duty and took 2 classes at a time. You will run out of your Tuition Assistance quickly doing that but use it still. So you will have to dig into your post-911 GI bill once you gain full access to it. You have to serve a certain amount of time to earn your % of the GI bill. A lot of people don’t recommend using your GI bill until you’re out of the service and can use your full benefit, meaning they pay you BAH to go to school when you’re not active duty. Sorry that this isn’t a very structured response. Now that I’m out and working full time elsewhere, I am going to work on my mechanical engineering degree I started in 2015, this time online. IF I were you, I would take one class at a time using your Tuition Assistance ($4,500 per year, $250 per credit) and start as soon as your leadership/supervisor lets you. I regret waiting a couple years before I started. Of course, this is assuming your college will let you do one at a time. Once you get comfortable with it and make enough to cover classes out of pocket or with your post-911 GI bill, I would start to take two at a time. You won’t have a life and if you’re married or will have a significant other, it will be hard on them as engineering and school in general takes up all of your free time when you’re not working.

The overall idea is the same for electronic and electrical systems. The difference is power and frequency. But the behavior is understood in a similar way.
