Angkor is completely worth the hype! It's conveniently located close to Siem Reap (which is like a small Bangkok). Check out pub street for a party scene similar to Khao San Road. Authentic food is far and between but we're listing our top 2 pics below (don't judge on the Korean BBQ...)
If time is what you are worried about; you can easily see 4-8 temples with a 1 day pass. You WILL need to get a Tuk Tuk to pull that off. Daily rentals are between $15-$20. Don't miss the sunrise at Angkor Wat and make sure you pick a spot on the south pond as the north gets extremely packed!
Temple Times:
Angkor Wat (Daytime): 4:00 -5:50
Ta Prohm Temple: 5:52 - 7:10
Angkor Wat (Sunrise): 8:05 -9:52
Angkor Thom/Bayon Temple: 10:06 -10:53
Baphuon Temple: 10:54 - 11:44
Terrace of the Elephants: 11:45 - 11:52
Royal Palace: 11:53 - 11:59
Preah Khan Temple: 12:02 -12:48
Neak Pean Temple: 12:49 - 13:14
East Baray Temple: 13:25 - 13:48
**Our must see temples were: Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm & Preah Khan
Travel Tips: Bring lots of water, sunscreen and good walking shoes to the temples. For more details on planning your visit to Angkor Archaeological Park, check out our friend JP's Travel Guide listed below:

I’m currently in Siem Reap. The temples here is absolute amazing. I wish the foreigners will respect these temples and the culture of these people. However more should be done to persevere this unique history. Absolute amazing place to visit.

Hi I went to Siem Reap a few years back and loved it so much I'm going back next month. My favourite temple was one you never visited most likely because it's too far away to access by bicycle. It's called Beng Mealea, it's 60 k's from town. I don't know how far that is in miles but it's a lot! Anyone visiting the area should check it out.

Jen does look like an Alicia Vikander/early years Lara Croft! That thought crossed my mind while watching all the other videos.. and now she's wearing the light blue shirt and short shorts similar to the early games.. she also looks so tiny walking down there next to you when you film while walking and vlogging haha

Hey guys love all your trips and have been excited to see your travels. Any advice for us going to Siem Reap that maybe you havent put in your video. Also any advice on taking our drone - any advice would be great many thanks
@IntAffair
@IntAffair 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Michelle 🙏🏼🙏🏼 We work really hard to try and include all info in our videos. If we missed anything we typically put it in the description. As for drones- you saw the consequences of flying them at the park. Outside of that- drone laws are a touchy subject. They are constantly changing. As we’re not officials and probably not the best to give legal advice on drone piloting, our recommendation is to check online before your trip to see if there are any new laws or requirements for flying. I can tell you that we've never had an issue, anywhere we've been, with airport security trying to confiscate our drone. Hope this helps! Safe travels!

Here are the pronounciations of each temple: Angkor wat= - English way of saying it : Ang-kor-what - Khmer way of saying it : Ongkor wort (Make the sound but don't pronouce the R) - Angkor thom : The H is silent, so it is more of Tum than Thom. - Bayon : Bai-yorn (the R isn't pronounced) - Neak Pean : Neak Porn (The R isn't pronounced) - Preah Khan : Praih Khan - East Baray: Ba-rai.

awesome video guys, thanks for the tips u both provided. Quick question, what month of the year u visited the temples? I will be in middle March on my own, I wonder if biking under the heat in March would be a good idea or not? or maybe hiring a tuk tuk ? any suggestions? also, I wonder if u visited the temples from the big loop as well? i heard that there is a temple called RED TEMPLE or Banteay Srei? How long is the bike ride from one temple to another? and did u lock the bike everytime u stopped to visit and walk around the temple? I appreciate your response when u get the chance, thanks and hugs from NY Sebastian here
@IntAffair
@IntAffair 6 жыл бұрын
We were there the end of May/beginning of June. It's hot. Especially when you are doing extra exercise on a bike in the heat. The bike option is cheaper and allows you total independence. Tuk tuks are relatively cheap ($15-$20usd) and very abundant. If you're down for an adventure (and a story) take the bike. We did the big loop as well on the bike. Never made it to Banteay Srei. TBH- after about 8 temples (with the exception of a few) they all start looking the same...Bike rides were anywhere from 5min to 15min (most) from one to the other. Most of them have staff at the front of the temple so you can just ride up and lock the bike wheels and leave it in the front of the temple. Rentals come with locks. If you're undecided and plan on doing a 3 day pass, you could rent a bike for the first day and feel it out. If it isn't your style, you can rent a tuk tuk the remaining 2 days. If you want to save some money, just get the 1 day pass and rent a tuk tuk for the day. Leave early (4am) do the sunrise at Angkor Wat and then hit as many as you can before the day is over. Safe travels!

Im surprised the guards didn't tell you to cover yr shoulders inside the temples, coz they told me to cover up my tank top just before climbing the 66 steps on the tallest structure inside Angkor. I was melting in sweats foR a week except when it rain on the way to mountain temples outside Phnom phen Few weeks ago. The strict dress code almost made me turn around outside the Royal temples, I was dress with a cap sleeves & a cambodian sarong ! I baged them to let me since it was my only chance to visit before my Bus was leaving to Siem Reap. They finally made an exception maybe coz it was a slow afternoon I cannot understand how the locals walked around in long sleeves under such humidity + Heat .

How long would you recommend visiting Cambodia?
@IntAffair
@IntAffair 4 жыл бұрын
Cambodia is a small/large country. It can also take time to get from location to location. The more days you designate the more you'll have time to see everything! Our biggest recommendation is to do a lot of research and figure out what you like most to get a better idea of how many days you should spend at each location 😃
