I’m glad you mentioned you were comparing apples to oranges. But the space savings of having a compressor mounted and out of the way is super helpful. I’ll send you picks when the dual Viair setup is reinstalled on the Tacoma.

another good video! Ive been using CO2for several years in my Scrambler and now in the gladiator, faster but not necessarily easier and if youre someplace remote for an extended period it can be hard to refill the tank. I did have an engine driven compressor on my Scrambler but I lost it when I did the 4.0L head EFI to it and got a small CO2 bottle from a friend.

Man for the price as of now, gotta check into an option like the Viair. While faster and space saving make more sense, I still gotta think of the budget. Thankfully my Mojave has an elocker, which is by far better than nothing but I still need to buy my recovery gear too. I have a long way to go but recently, having to find a gas station to air up and even then, hoping it works or takes card not coin. Its a hassel I can definitely do without.

You could’ve used a different Viair compressor to make the comparison they have better air compressors that match up better to the ARB

Or, one could compare the ARB twin with the NAPA Maxi Trac 300LPM twin (also a 12v "portable" compressor) -- tests I've seen (on KZfaq) show -- even if hard to believe -- the NAPA one is way faster than the ARB...at about 1/3rd the price ($132 presently @ NAPA online). But as for durability/quality, I don't think the NAPA has been out long enough to know, but ARB sure has been and it's a great product. However, I have a Viair 450P for HOME use, and a Viair 88P I carry in my Gladiator 24/7 (for "emergency" use, just in case, for me or someone else "in distress" on the road). The 450P (~ $300 when I got it several years ago) is more expensive, so it stays in my garage (in case my truck is broken into). If the cheaper 88P (~$90) gets stolen, it's less of a financial loss. IIRC< my 450P is clearly slower than the ARB twin...which makes sense, as the ARB is a twin cylinder and my Viair is a single cylinder. But that's okay, it's fast enough and I'm expecting Viair quality (even though made in China?) to last me even more years to come. MINE is just for use on tires though, nothing else. Like my plan to Live Forever, I can say "So far, so good" about my 2 Viairs. ;-) Too bad we have to be concerned about criminals (be they simple street-trash or otherwise) in America more & more nowadays: We can't carry "nice stuff" in our vehicles anymore. :-( "Jeep Wave" -- BR

Big time waste of money. The "off road" community will buy anything just to look cool and compete with others. It's an expensive ego trip and you're paying top dollar for looks and bragging rights.
