This game is definitely one of those games that was overlooked due to the bad box-art. I mean there is no way you could tell whta the game was form the box!

msadaldin The box art is truly terrible, some of the worst ever, up there with Rival Turf

You'd be surprise how interested the mafia and cartels are in the supernatural...

Yes, makes sense that’s because they know it’s real so they choose to embrace it instead of living in ignorance like a lot of sheeple. Cool ‘fact’ by the way. I guess I didn’t consider that before, but I would have guessed some cultures would be into the supernatural more than others. Why would they ignore it when they can use it to their advantage? This is exactly the reason why the agencies use psychics and remote viewers to solve real cases and obtain information, for example.

wow thats pretty cool. not what i expected based of the box art! hopefully more people discover it through the 3ds shop. that be a pretty cool premise today still. (some games have done that) oddly the last driver game comes to mind. pretty messed up story too for a old game like this too.

Never heard of it before now. That's a really cool gameplay concept, and especially for the time and system. Playing as NPCs is something I really wish a lot of modern, 3D games would allow as a bonus feature. Some games have been modded to do it at least, and it adds a ton of replayability playing as your favorite story character, an enemy, or even just a random no-name bystander. I'll definitely have to check this game out sometime.

If only there were more games like Avenging Spirit.

Came looking for a bit more info on this game before buying it. This was a thorough, but succinct little review. Thank you.

I haven't played this game, but from watching the video it reminds me of Silicon Valley for the N64

Just beat it- great game. I found it pretty tough but it was fun enough to keep me coming back. That ending is super weird though

Just beat this game for the first time yesterday. My gosh, did it get frustratingly difficult. It must've taken me a half-hour just to beat Stage 5. Thank goodness for unlimited continues.

I bought this game back in 1992, I still have the cartridge, and apparently it's worth a lot? I only have the cartridge, but anyway, this game ruled. But that boxart....OOF, I bought it based upon a Gamepro review. I played it the same night the Shannon Doherty/Cypress Hill episode of SNL premiered.

That comment about Al Capone being interested in ghosts made me laugh so hard I almost cried, for some reason.

When you say the mob was "always interested in ghosts and stuff," is that a Deadmau5 reference?
