Waiting for community servers on PS3

This could be the greatest switch release of 2024. This was peak gaming. Complex simplicity. We desperately need this kind of game.

Literally my favorite Battlefield game. I miss it!

I miss being a kid man, I really do. I remember the day I cried to my mother to get this game. Played this game through tough times and with many friends of all periods of time in my childhood. After a handful of years I figured I would check in and see if I should hook up the old PS3, and i found out the servers had close. I hope that someone, somehow finds out a way to make this accessible in some way. I hope as people who had similar experiences someone would let me know if that day ever came.

When they do stuff like this makes people wonder why even bothering buying or playing any games from these companies that shut these down. When we buy them, we buy them forever and if they don’t support them forever then these companies should not be supported. Simple as that. Time for new companies new blood that do what we want otherwise they have no reason or purpose to exist. This is entertainment and that’s it, not a necessary part of society or life. They need to be taught a lesson and learn their place.

I wanted to buy this game a few minutes ago, i wondered why its not avaliable in the Xbox Store on Series. Then i looked in the Xbox 360 store, there i doesnt even exist anymore. BF Bad Company 1 was my first BF game that i bought back in 2013 on Disk second hand for 1,69€. Cheap and totally worth it. Thx to you now i know why and also thx for sharing your last gameplay. I LOVED Battlefield 1943. I played with some amazing teammates in squads, and I used to be in the top 20 on the 1943 Leaderboards. What a major loss. It's the only game I played on the Xbox 360 for years. I pray to God it comes back!

My favorite game of all time, grew up playing this game, would always dominate matches and became friends with all the top players on the leaderboards, i miss those days, i tried playing it again a few months ago but it wouldn't work, now i know why

I used to bring my xbox 360 and 32" samsung lcd TV to my best friends house and we'd set both xbox's and TV's up next to eachother and drink beers while playing bf1943 all night. Used to be so much fun.

Do you think the sounds of explosions going off by your character is what it really would sound like? It plays a high pitched sound like "Bluuuuub", then your dead for a bit?

wtf I watched Ivan (theend004500) too back in the day and just now I found out he died, this fucking sucks, I too also associate bf1943 with him, he was great guy and amazing entertainer. At least there's still some random people he entertained out there that remember him.

Ive never liked the Battlefield series because it's always filled with lunatic obsessed gamers who play 24/7 and will snipe you 2 seconds after spawning, but with 1943 it felt WAY more balanced than any other Battlefield game I've ever played... it was pretty much as much fun as the best Call of Duty games multiplayer-wise... imo, sad it's gone, I hope it comes back on PC somehow, maybe reverse engineered and emulated or something, but I'd prefer it on PC, where it should have been to begin with...

Ea shutting down this game for a dumb final fantasy crossover on apex legends. Plus literally any NPCS that buys a 320 dollar death box on that dog water game EA could literally keep running these games for years lmao
