I'm from Commie California and it cracks me up watching you guys from the other side of the country casting with your right hand then switching hands. I understand that it is a Southern and Midwest style. For us guys out here in California and the West, we see that as Inefficient and Backwards. There is no need for that when you think about it. Out here if you are right handed, you cast and hold the Rod with your right hand and Crank with your left hand. And visa versa. As I was saying, otherwise it's a Inefficient way to fish. But whatever floats your Boat. But if you take the effort to break that habit I promise you that you will be happier casting and retrieving your Lure. Old habits are hard to break because you are changing your muscle memory. The other thing is why would you fight the fish with your weak hand instead of your dominant or your strong hand? That's the way we see it out here in the West. Tight Lines 🎣🐟

Can i just say mad respect. Finally someone other than me who puts the crank handle on the right side. Drives me nuts when i see right handed people using the crank on the left side. For everyone else who’s a lefty you good how they come lol. 😂. Drives me crazy 😂

Can't help it. Grew up fishing with the Old Mitchell 300s . Handle was on left and I am right handed. Cast right hand. My Grandfather bought mine in 1976 and still using it and his to this day. So easy to rebuild and clean and lube. Have 4 and a 308. All on Ugly Sticks. Both rods and reels built like tanks. When one wears out I may try the other way. Not looking good.

@@reedmitchell6716 from what i know the inventor was left handed. Thats why the old ones are left handed crank only. To this day they all get put on the left from the factory even tho its now switchable. Drives me nuts lol especially since only 10 % of the population is Southpaw. Its simple for me because a right handed bait caster the crank is on right. Why wouldn’t you switch the handle on a flip cast to the same. I see people do it all the time tho. My favorite is when you hand someone an open cast thats never fished before. First thing they do is turn it upside down and reel it backwards 😂

Depends on the time of year, Black Licorice can be a KILLER color sometimes and so can the gold (glitter critter) on a chartreuse jighead. I've probably had blue grass sittin in my box for over a year not even lyin I go like that inidigo shad tho which is kinda similar it's a dark translucent blue with chartreuse which I catch em on alot but i dont really throw the Bluegrass often so ill have to give it a whirl it might be even better who knows.

PA trout fishermen and use power bait for trout and do well. Those crappie bites seem to work well on pan fish . I would have tipped jig with red worm ,maggots,wax worm and never thought of those. Going to have to try it. Thank You .

If you are right handed, and cast right handed, why not switch your reel handle side so you dont have to switch hands every cast?

Because it doesn't feel comfortable reeling with my left hand so I cast right hand and reel right hand. I know it looks weird, but it gets the job done. Thanks for watching I appreciate it.
