BoA brought me to Kpop 22 years ago. Yes. 22 years ago. All because of a single song. The ending song she sung in Inuyasha season 4 (?) - Every Heart was the beginning of it all. I love this song. The only Japanese song I could sing by heart. I love her Japanese songs and I was surprised to learn that she's actually Korean. So I listened to her Korean songs and the rest is history. She sang another OST of my favorite anime and of my favorite arc - Fairy Tale - Grand Magic Ball Arc. When I graduated college, my friends gifted me Atlantis Princess. A copy so hard to find when no kpop albums are being sold in the music stores yet and my only source of news are 300kbps internet and Asian Pop/ Pop Asia magazine and Channel V. I will and forever will be a Jumping BoA and my favorite song of hers will always be Milky Way. She heavily influenced my youth.
