It would have required surgery to repair the injury. We tried to keep from having to do that by having it pushed back in place, but it kept popping back out. So to keep her from being in pain, we had to have it removed. And she still tries to use the amputated area like her leg was still there.

I don't think it was that deep. I think she was using that arm to hold up the paper so she could pin it to the wall with her other arm.

They definitely are experimenting, but I have a theory that main character deaths fans of the franchise crave will be saved for the new trilogy. From a writer’s point of view, main character deaths are desperately wanted in the franchise as we’ve never really had a main character die in the franchise before. Every movie made in the Jurassic franchise so far has grossed over $1 billion USD in box office, that’s all 6 movies making over $1 billion each during first initial release. Camp Cretaceous obviously did not come remotely close to that in any way. Regardless of how popular it was, it did not make that much money compared to the movies. Again, from a writer’s point of view, you want to make the most money possible, you want something new and exciting. Killing off the first main character in the franchise is exciting and will absolutely boost income in box office. You can absolutely kill off the first character in a kids show, but that won’t make you the most money. You can kill another main character in the next movie which will boost income, but it won’t be as exciting as it was done previously only a year prior. Logically, you want to make a new movie unique. The first movie of the new trilogy releasing in 2025 is almost guaranteed to make over $1 billion in box office fairly quickly, you can however boost that by adding things never before seen in the franchise, especially if those never before seen things are topics the fans have asked to be added before. For example, if people really wanted to see the spinosaurus return in a jurassic movie (if it wasn’t added in camp cretaceous), that would cause more hype and excitement and therefore make more revenue. They are reserving that first death for the new trilogy to make more money, only after that may we see actual main character deaths in chaos theory.
