Reality star Keke Jabbar’s unfortunate death at age 42 has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and among her fans. A close friend of the “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” star has come forward, shedding light on the tragic circumstances surrounding her passing.
According to the New York Post, KZfaqr JoAnn Jenkins, who boasted of a friendship with Jabbar, shut down speculation over her pal’s cause of death.
“Keke did not overdose, Keke did not take her own life. Keke loved life. Keke was not ready to leave life. She wasn’t ready to leave her children, her husband or her family,” Jenkins said Wednesday night during a KZfaq livestream.
The vlogger claimed that the late reality star would often get sleepy and “go to sleep wherever.” She said Jabbar decided to get some shut-eye after experiencing an issue with her car.“So, seven-something this morning, her husband goes to the garage,” Jenkins said during her so-called “official statement.” “He sees Keke, what he thinks is asleep in the car. He tries to get her attention. He opens [the car] up. She isn’t breathing,” she went on. “Her husband, her life partner, her best friend tried to bring his wife back, the mother of his children, and he couldn’t. Keke passed from carbon monoxide poisoning. That’s it. That is all,” she added.
The reality star’s death was announced by blogger Marcella Speaks, who read out a statement from Jabbar’s family Tuesday. “It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love,” she said on behalf of the late star’s loved ones during a KZfaq livestream “She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love and laughter. She will be sorely missed and at this time, we are asking for respect and privacy in our moment of grief while we process this great loss. The Jabbar Family and the Scott Family.”

TMZ posted their story and included an instagran post she made Memorial Day weekend. She was not stressed but appeared healthy happy and excited. She was introducing a new product she created and patented and was preparing to go to market. She did not exemplify what this uncle described in his post. She was optimistic and looking forward to yhe future she was about to step into. SMH. Father save us from ourselves.

I’m not a counselor of any sorts, but that’s the exact and first thing I thought too. She was high but made it home and passed out from a substance and sub-come to fumes. So sorry to hear of her death. May she RIP.

There needs to be an autopsy because she could have had a medical emergency (stroke, heart attack, etc) that caused her to sleep or remain in the car with the car running. Before anyone places blame, you need a true cause of death. Keke fought through so much, it could have been an accident.

From my understanding, Tisha did not want KeKe on the show because of her past struggles. KeKe was an adult and she signed up for the show. In this day and time, we know that reality tv is not good for anyone’s mental health. Prayers for KeKe’s family and that her soul is at peace. 💜 Sad and heartbreaking. The show is not responsible.

Wow! My daughter and I were talking about Keke when they had the last reunion and the ways in which everyone treated her at that reunion. And The way Keke tried so hard to prove that she wasn’t on drugs anymore and hadn’t done the awful things that they said she’d done to get drugs. Was so harsh! I felt her pain. Latisha, Marsau, Mel, and the rest of the cast didn’t give Keke a chance because they were too busy attacking her character and belittling her. I told my daughter that I was scared for her, and she said why? I said because a human being can only take so much! Especially when they’re vulnerable and easily intimidated by others. To me, Keke came off as a “people pleaser!” Always trying to prove herself to people and that’s why I think she unalived herself!!! Rest in Peace! Keke 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️

It’s reality tv these peoples lives are being played out in front of the world, that’s an enormous amount of stress I would imagine. If Tisha didn’t think it was a good idea for her to be on the show, why didn’t she refuse to film with her? That has to be a rumor about the autopsy, she is young and had a questionable cause of death, that county is obligated to perform an autopsy. When the cause of death is questionable the family cannot contest it.

RIP Dear Keke. I believe that the OWN Network, Carlos King, and Melonie Sheree are responsible for exploiting Keke and her addiction. Letisha, Keke's cousin, did not appear to want her on the show. Unfortunately. all the people on reality shows are so thirsty for fame and fortune they create drama and exploit weaknesses. I was turned off when Melonie divorced her cheating husband and they have 4 under age children. Now, a producer has married a cast members boyfriend and they are now cast members. It's sad what people do to be on TV. Most states require autopsy for sudden passing of young people.

The Jenny Jones lawsuit was different. They searched out the guy to come on the show. He asked them if it was a man that had the crush and they lied and said no. I'm in complete agreement with "unpopular opinion" everyone is sounding as if she intentionally did this to herself. No one knows. I know I personally fell asleep immediately after parking. I backed my car into a parking space, put my car into park, and fell asleep. Had it not been for my neighbor, I might not be here today.

Tisha kept telling them that KeKe needed to work on herself and she wasn’t stable enough for that show. Everyone thought she was being jealous. She was only trying to help KeKe. Marsau said they went several times to get her off the side of the road. That girl was suffering. That side of the family blaming the father’s side but the blame lies on them.

So very sad 😔. Keke may have taken something to make her feel better. I do not think it was unintentional. She may have indulged in a substance that took her out. It happens a lot. Keke had issues when she came in the show and she made it clear that she wanted to be on LAMH. It was apparent she enjoyed it , but it probably wasn't in her best interest. However, no one should be blamed and I doubt if it would be proven in a court of law. As for Carlos and the others, people have different ways of grieving, so let us allow them all to grieve in their own way. They said the same thing about Whitney Houston

Everybody needs to be held accountable… when the made her do a drug test in TV was disgusting… my ex husband battles with addiction and it’s no joke for the person that’s suffering and the family… Tisha did not want her on that show and they should have respected that… Carlos is a bomb and I have said it before he hasn’t done anything to keep down the chaos

I’m sorry but I find this all so distasteful. Poor lady hasn’t even been buried and this entire video (up until the blogger started talking about showing a video of the deceased -I stopped watching at that point) is based on the premise she unalived herself because if it was an accident then why would ANYONE be at fault? A grief stricken relative made a video. Yea he said some things. But he should be given some grace cuz he is heartbroken. And I can’t believe someone is going to actually show of video of this lady bringing up mess from a show. Does no one have respect for this family. I don’t know any of these people but if she were my family I would be pissed off at all of this speculation that is being spread all throughout SM with no respect for the family.

Sharrell, I do not think Carlos, OWN, Latisha, Wanda, or Marsau are liable for this tragedy. Melody brought KeKe on this show to humiliate Tisha and it backfired. I cannot place blame on Melody either. KeKe wanted to be on this show and was a willing participant in the destruction of her family relationships. The uncle's grief is understandable but misplaced. I think you and Perry should watch the show so you can understand the dynamics of what went down prior to this happening. I am praying for all involved.

My condolences to her family. Until we know the facts, we can’t blame others for an accidental death. If it was intentional then her mental capacity can be tied to the show. However, her issues were addressed when she decided to join. In other words stop the assumptions until the facts are known. Tisha, Wanda, Marsau. Melody nor Carlos are the blame based on the information provided.
