I have loved her acting in JAG she was my favorite. As a counselor, I found out that women who at a later stage in their life turn into gay relationships have often been at a very young age been abused by a man. This comes at a later stage in life to the fore and effects intimacy with males. It's no reflection of say her husband or others but they are indirectly also a victim of the first abuser(s). The secret of getting healed lays only in the victims hands by forgiving the abusers of the acts. Which can be very difficult as some don't even remember it anymore as the trauma has been pushed away in their subconsciousness.

And lastly, there are plenty of reasons she could get Botox, like the fact that she plays a younger character.
