Noteworthy projects include the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Southeast Asia's inaugural high-speed railway in Indonesia. Nobody pointed the gun at you to participate in the BRI. Its purely commercial business transactions. Just like when you go to the bank to borrow money for certain reason, after a few years you default payment, will the bank let you off. It is as simple as that. Just like IMF and World bank, they are much worse than robbers and loansharks.

so why are Chinese braving a long expensive & very dangerous gamble to cross illegally into the southern USA? I don't see Americans sneaking through the jungles of Myanmar to get to wealthy China.
