It’s quite refreshing for KZfaq. Just ask the make-up community. It’s nice to see he recognises it without being told. All those Jubilee videos are funny but they’re basically all a variation of the same recipe. But as he said, he needs to earn an income. We can’t judge because we’d be whoring out for jubilee and making four « 6 v 1 » videos a day for revenue

I really wish you would cut YOURSELF more slack. You just got engaged, you’re open about your mental health issues, you’re literally a human like the rest of us. I also depend on you for content, you have gotten me through a lot of depression. Hell, I even named my rabbit Wednesday after your podcast. But you are making HUGE moves with TMG studios. I know you don’t need this pep talk, I just think people need to be a little more understanding that cody ko is literally human. He is a youtuber, but there is a HUMAN behind this screen with a beautiful fiancé to work hard for and amazing productions coming to light. Cody, I know I’m one comment in a sea of many, but there’s been many weeks where I just didn’t want to try any more and held out until “Wednesday” (or thursday before the reschedule) please take care of yourself. the first two minutes you beat the fuck out of yourself. i know it’s for comedy, and probably didn’t even affect you and was for show. Please just know how much of an impact you have on your fans. Some think you’re going downhill, but for every one that does you have die hards that will ride these waves of life with you. Again, please take care of yourself. We will be here when you feel good enough to make content whether it be every week, recycled, same ideas, it is still Cody Ko at the end of the day the man who can make me and my fiancé laugh for hours on end and quote him all week. We love you -The Miranda Household and Wednesday

I don’t care if you’re making content on autopilot Cody. That’s probably what a lot of creators need to be doing, the current expectations for content creators are ridiculous. The reason I (and most others) watch your content is because of your authenticity. You stay true to yourself and present as a very honest person. Keep making the content that’s best for you, just be yourself while doing it. Sounds corny, but it’s facts.

Not that you’d read this but I think it’s important to say anyway: you’re incredibly funny, I think what people understand about the strength of the podcast is that you’re great at improv and it’s so hard to do this when you’re trying to make a format to monetise and be consistent with. I think if you approached brainstorming video ideas like improv it could help but then again I have no idea, you’re doing insanely great.

Please take a breather, you deserve to take breaks, you've been constantly pushing out content on multiple platforms for YEARS so burnout is natural. I will donate basically my entire wardrobe except for sentimental or favorite pieces and just start over. I've discovered so many different styles and unique ways of expressing myself that I think I never would have found if I had picked 'a style' that I would wear forever. Fashion and beauty etc. Are one of the very few ways we have complete control over how we express and present our inner selves to the world and it's boring not to experiment and figure out new ways to do that!

I have been noticing a lot of the creators I watch dealing with similar criticisms. It is really frustrating to see. You are still human, and people talking about your career like they have any idea of the effort this sort of production takes. I don't blame anyone for ceasing to watch a certain creator because they no longer relate to the content, but making a fuss about it in their personal forum just seems like egocentricism to me, rather than constructive criticism. We already know negative comments tend to impact our mentality a lot harsher than positive ones, and it takes 0 effort to keep disheartening comments to yourself. Social media influencers/creators have a much more interpersonal relationship w their audience than mainstream celebrities, and that makes a big difference on how negativity can affect them. Love you Cody; you have so much to be proud of! Not many can say they have accomplished what you have.

I really feel like some fans feel entitled to have content their way. Art would not be what art is if we didn’t let the artist have free range. Imagine the constant criticism. When analytics make more sense and are more objective, yet we are human and still get dragged down by the opinions of strangers. Have empathy.

Your honesty and transparency is one of the reasons why you have such a loyal fan base. It’s really refreshing to have a content creator who’s a genuine person that will just keep it real with us. Its so taboo for creators to acknowledge the fact that money plays a role, but I think it’s actually a really interesting facet to all of this. It’s a little peak behind the curtain we usually don’t get with other people. I also feel like when creators humanize themselves by being honest, it in turn causes the public to allow them more slack for being human- if that makes sense.
