I appreciate you differentiating between the fish PROCESSING industry versus the actual people who go out on the fishing boats and bring the fish to the processing plants (such as unisea). too many times you see fish processors wearing those "bering sea fisherman - second to none - year 20××" sweatshirts they get at dutch harbor. Yes, walk the docks, that is true. Although, personally I've never done it. Also in September 2019 while at the Unisea "Attu" dorm building I once had crew from the Aleutian Sable" fishing boat try to recruit me when we were both walking thru that dorm building.

Had a fellow crew member quit mid trip and accidentally took my xxl gloves. Spent the rest of the trip wearing his size large...... I didn't have spares and lost my fingernails as a result (grew back) Never went out again without at least two extra pairs.

Government will pay the rent every month. Separated from wife heading to divorce. Cooking for $13 hour 30 hours a week now living in a crack shack in town sleeping on the floor. I was machining for a while working 10-12-14 hour shifts. Done cement and carpentry. First job was building houses at 14.
