In my opinion, when Overeem beat Cejudo for the vacant heavy straw-weight title by using a rear-naked hook kick of his back, was the best performance I ever saw during an under card title fight in the contender series of Bellator.

I think 15 minutes with the...what was Burns? The number 3 welterweight in the world? Fifteen minutes in the octagon where his normal tools weren't putting the opponent in the dirt, where he got pushed, hit, and countered is worth a ton. Experience as a concept might be nebulous, but I think it's clear that Bo hasn't been tested as much in MMA. Chimaev got the acid test and passed.

Thing you have to take in to account is that it’s not only 20 min. It’s preparing for a fight 6 times. It’s executing your game plan. Its about learning what happens when the game plan dose not work. It’s about having everyone cheering on you. It’s about having everyone booing you. It’s about feeling the pressure to preform under the bright lights. I think that Bo will be able to handle the pressure good since he’s been competing for so long. But the stakes in the octagon is not the same as a wrestling match.

Just because those other Fighters spent more time in the ring they still weren't favored over Mike Tyson that's spent a lot less time in the ring. Chimaev had.several fights in MMA prior to the UFC. THAT is the experience that people consider when contemplating a fight with Bo. Who by the way only has the two contender fights in MMA. That's the rub Uncle Chael. The 20 minute separation is on applicable if you are considering UFC fight time. Maybe pre UFC time is inconsequential we will have to defer to you on this Unc.

Chael it's not the 20 mins experience in the Octagon it's all the training in MMA leading up to the additional fights Khamzat has had. Khamzat has 5 times the fights but also more years in training specifically for MMA

The only footage of bo I've seen striking is his two contender fights. He looked sharp and powerful but like khamzats first fights, he hardly got touched. The experience difference from a fans standpoint like myself is we have seen khamzat get pushed and eat some nasty shots and continue moving forward in the burns fight. Bo is one tough match away from everyone calling for him to fight khamzat IMO. From a ufc business standpoint its silly to pair these guys up so early and take the hype away from the one who loses.

Only for casual it take away the hype just like the burns fight for khaz for true fans it's more intriguing. Tbh khazmat would win but it be the ultimate watching bo capable likely redemption. The sport is getting lost simply bc money exactly what u said is very true 👍. Hopefully they do fight fast, look at boxing exactly what happens there losses are everything to point they never fight each other in tjier whole carrers ..

Khamzat who has shown that he has issues making 170, he traded punches with a glorified 155er in Burns. Let’s see Chimaev trade with a real 185. Let’s see him eat a shot from Costa, Izzy, Potan before he gets anointed too

This time difference of 20 minutes is irrelevant IF they are both seasonedd mma fighters. But the first 30 minutes of octagon experience i would say is one of the most important aspects of making a great fighter. Also chimaev went a full fight with Gilbert which i would say he gained a tremendous amount of knowledge. Also you can't compare it like that because chimaev was a seasoned mma fighter way before he made it to the ufc. So the experience factor is extremely vast. Having said all that i think chimaev would definitely win, but i wouldn't count Bo out. He is something special FOR SURE!!

Daniel is correct. It's one thing to beat cans, whom you're meant to beat. It's quite another, with all that Chimaev can add into the mix, to beat a top contender in MMA. Very good of Daniel to reference himself and who he struggled to take down. That's proper honesty. Uncle Chael, Anthony Smith said "Bo Nickal is in MMA is because he wasn't good enough to make an Olympic team." He then continued "The guys ahead of him in the two weight classes he just can't beat those two guys." Bo is undoubtedly great, but let's see him fight a Top 10 guy - Jack Hermansson at 8 or Brunson at 5 - before we ride another hype train. 😎👊
