Honestly, Dark Magician is one of the most fun decks I've ever played. It's not good meta-wise, don't get me wrong, but it's so much fun. Had a blast with it in the Legend Anthology event.

Bro got 2 monsters wiped by super poly and called it ain't no way... I got full endymion board wiped by super poly into quintet magician then dude proceed to wipe my whole field, life & soul. Shit still gave me PTSD

I saw someone use Powersink Stone as a Skill Drain substitute in a DM deck. It actually works fairly well since DM typically only needs 1 monster effect on the field a turn. They didn't win though since their opponent could play around it.

Dm is not as bad as people make it out to be yes I wouldn't even call it rogue but its still a pretty competent deck that has a clear and defined game plan and once it gets rolling it can get some nice plusses.

Dark Magician is really infuriating to go against. It has so much recursion and extension it’s really tricky to cut their plays off.

Dark Magician decks are fun to play against. Either you out Eternal Soul and they scoop immediately or you get a nice little back and forth before they ultimately lose anyway because its Dark Magician.

This is why we don't just run hand traps, you need spell/trap removal as well

I still remember my first duel with Plunder. I drop Nibiru to my opponent and then the next turn, "I can't target the Token with the Xyz, I can't out it." and then lose from my own Nibiru Token. In this video, even if Moerk can target Dark Magician, that vanilla is still protected and unaffected because of Eternal Soul.

What makes DM so annoying to deal with is how they can play floodgates, have a towers setup, and can run stuff like Branded Fusion and Super Poly. The problem is DM is such a janky vanilla to work with, and you really want to go over min deck size to play 2 if not 3 of it, so have fun trying not to brick.

To be fair, Dark Magition decks were low key broken before tear forced everyone to use graveyard hate, shufflers, ect, but Dark Magition decks have a major weakness, it relies way too much on circle, you take out circle, Dark Magician pretty much auto lose. Now with Bystials coming, Dark Magician decks will literally be unplayable, infact Bystials hurn Dark Magician decks way more then it hurts any other decks that rely on light or dark monsters.
