I think it's not an AI case, but rather Jennifer Lee's lack of writing skills, because her previous movies from the Frozen franchise, as much as I love them, had major plot holes and rushed twist villain plot twist, and Frozen 2 had weird ending that, at least in my opinion, ruined the message and sense of the first Frozen movie 😭💔 Jenn Lee simply can't write movies, and Frozen 2 and Wish show it the most 🥴

The fact that the German dub straight up CORRECTED the alarmingly wrong song text line "And throw caution to every warning sign" back to it's actual meaning (to throw caution into the winds) that literally is supposed to mean *the complete OPPOSITE* of what the original line here implies, is something I know will take me some time to emotionally recover from.

I think it makes sense they would use ai for this film. They're celebrating "100 years of disney" with a story that's supposedly a "century in the making." What a perfect gimmick to take the past 100 years of disney films and give them to a bot to come up with a movie "inspired" by it all. They'd want to pave that way in technology or be able to be the first studio to successfully produce something using artificial intelligence no doubt. Got Walt rolling in his grave.

If this movie was really written by AI, that just shows how little the people running the show at Disney care about the company's legacy. That they couldn't even be bothered to try when it comes to a movie meant to celebrate a full hundred years in the industry tells me everything I need to know about how hard they'll try for quality anywhere else.

Did you know that as soon as people give their wishes they forget about them? The memory wipe brings so many questions. Why would anyone agree to it? Give me your wish but you can't remember it so you can't know if it came true or not. No one ever shared their wish with anybody else, so when their wish doesn't come true people can be like ''Hey, you told me your wish was to be a knight. Are you now?'' ''Now that you mention it, no!'' No one writes their wish down as a work-around? The mere chance that he might grant your wish if he changes his mind later, will be in a good mood, or you reword your wish more carefully should be enough for people to stick by him. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I saw somewhere a synopsis which mentioned that Asha's grandfather made a wish and can't remember it and Asha wants to make it come true. So I think everybody is aware of losing the memories of your wish. Unless everybody thinks he's just old and can't remember things.

Honestly everything about this movie screams that they were making it on the cheap. The animation itself moves weirdly sometimes, the lighting is cheap, the backgrounds are simple and cheap looking, etc. Would not be surprised at all if it comes out that they did use ai.

You've made some very insightful and valid points! I've seen Wish as well, and agree with you. I'll go a bit further though... Asha herself said that she will "throw caution to every warning sign.", meaning she's willing to ignore every warning that what she's planning could have dire consequences so that she can get what she wants. That, technically, makes her the villain of the film. What if, for example, someone wished harm to her or her family. But their harmful intent is quickly forgotten when Magnifico takes that person's wish away. Asha and her family would then be safe...as long as the wish is kept stored away and forgotten. But, under Asha's plan to steal away and give every wish back to its owner, the ill intent is then not only remembered, but is also carried out. She's willing to give ALL wishes back, even those wishes that may be dark and evil. As for her Saba's wish to inspire younger generations. King Magnifico is right when he says that wish is too vague. People can be inspired to do good things...but they can also be inspired to do harmful or evil things. So, that makes Saba's wish a potentially dangerous one. Asha's recklessness could have potentially released chaos and destruction down on Rosas. So, King Magnifico was right to protect them from her. He was the actual hero in the film, until corrupted by dark magic (which would not have happened if Asha's careless actions hadn't triggered his obvious PTSD response to turn to dark magic). The script feels like it still needed to go through SEVERAL more revisions. The songs themselves seemed to have come from a different storyline altogether as well...

The most glaring line to me was "Throw caution to every warning sign." Huh? The phrase is "Throw caution to the wind." A "warning sign" IS a caution. It's saying throw caution to...itself? Honestly seems like a bot got confused by idioms. In "Knowing What I Know Now" Amaya says "I've seen too many bad things that I can't keep count." This is bizarre wording. Either you say "I've seen SO many bad things that I can't keep count" or "I've seen too many bad things TO keep count." Also "The lengths he'll go there's no amount" - Like the "caution" line, this sounds like two different phrases were mashed together & wound up with the opposite meaning. You can either say "The lengths he'll go to to do X" or "There's no length he WON'T go to to do X." To phrase it the way the song does implies there's NO length he WILL go to, which means he'll do nothing. And "It's us and the strength we've found / It's too loud." Strength...isn't...loud... And "We won't retreat or turn around." Yes, that's what retreat means. And "To take what's ours and take it back in." Yeah, taking what's yours and taking it back are the same thing... "I'm a Star" has a lot of clunky lines. Like "We're taking the why's right out of mystery, closure." Mystery and closure are opposite things. One implies you don't know something, the other implies you do - if you know the answer, you have closure to a question. There is no "why" left in closure to take OUT of closure. Followed by "Now we're taking in all the star exposure." What does that even mean? They got sunburned? And "Why flowers in the wind are effortless and eloquent dancers"...they meant ELEGANT. Eloquent means you speak well. Doesn't describe flowers or dancing. Just...wow. And "Here's a little fun allegory"...it should be "fun little allegory." Size adjective come after "opinion" adjectives, which (almost) always come first. It's an unwritten rule of English that you know subconsciously but don't know you know. Native English speakers are supposed to know this intuitively, but who's to say humans actually wrote this? And "We're little nebulae in a nursery"...nebulae ARE nurseries for stars... And we've reached the point where the word "shareholders" appears in a Disney song. Though maybe that's actually not surprising. The worst offender is "This Is the Thanks I Get." There's the notorious "I let you live here for free and don't even charge you rent"...that's the same thing... And "Cute and strong and bold and brave"...bold and brave are also the same thing... And "Keeping you safe should be worth every cent"...even though he literally just said "I let you live here FOR FREE" And "Since the day you were born and the day that we met"...wouldn't the former include the latter? If he's got your back since day 1, it seems unnecessary to tack on the second part. And not everyone in the kingdom was even born there, so that doesn't really make sense either. And "I got these genes from outer space." Just...what? How do you get genes from space?? I get it's to emphasize the quality of his genes, but this is the most bizarre & random way to do so. It's like a bot just spat out a word that rhymed with "face" in the previous line. And "Anything to make that light reverse." Light doesn't "reverse." You'd say it goes away or disappears, you don't say it "reversed." This and the "loud strength" lines are violations of a basic principle taught in every Linguistics 101 class called "Colorless green ideas sleep furiously" -- something can't be colorless if it's green, ideas can't be green, ideas can't sleep, & you can't sleep furiously. Light can't reverse & strength can't be loud. "A potion, a spell, a summon, a curse." Summon...is not...a noun...it's a verb In "Welcome to Rosas" there's "You can turn your wanting to wishing"....those are also the same thing... And "No what-ifs and no wonders"...what does this even mean? Is it the expression "No wonder"? Is it saying there's no wondering that goes on, awkwardly using the verb "wonder" as a noun? It actually sounds like they're saying there are no wonders (as in amazing things) in the town, despite every prior verse being about how amazing the town is And "Dance on beat"...come on, it's "dance TO a beat." Eloquently, no doubt. In "At All Costs" there's the line "I swear on my response." This sounds awkward. Nobody says this. What "response" is she even talking about? Nowhere in the song did it imply she was responding to anything. Again it's like a bot popped out a word to rhyme with "once" in the previous line. And "Even if I tried to, I'll never dream like I used to do"...uhm, it's just "dream like I used TO." Why is that extra "do" on the end, especially when "to" still rhymes?? And "If someone tried to hurt you, I don’t see how that could happen" -- This negates its own point. If she doesn't see how someone could hurt the wishes, why is she worried about it? They should've said "...I wouldn't LET that happen." And "Felt this, no I haven't" and "Leave you here, I don't wanna" sound like awkward Google Translate results And "You pull me in like some kind of wind"...unless you're in a tornado or a depressurized aircraft, wind does not pull. It pushes. In the reprise of "This Wish" they say "We were confusing your promises for protection"--addressing Magnifico--but then say "With our wish held high just like YOU always taught us too." Who is "you"? Is it Asha? It sounds like they mean Magnifico again because they literally just addressed him 2 verses ago. And how do you hold a wish high?! That's another violation of the "colorless green ideas" thing. There's a line of dialog that went, "When you're threatened you do not breathe. You focus." This sounds repetitive. Like the whole point of breathing IS to calm down and focus. Just sounded odd to me. And "selfish, greedy thieves"...this sounds redundant. If you're a thief, it's kind of implied you ARE greedy and selfish. And if you're greedy, you're obviously selfish. Why not just say "ravenous thieves" or "cutthroat thieves" or something? And "They found the most perfect island deep in the Mediterranean Sea"...uhh, that makes it sound like it's underwater...

Their most recent promo render on Twitter showed signs of being made with ai, down to the eyes and the background, you may be right (they took it down 😭)

The main reasons why i think this is gonna be meh is not only because Disney just cant be original anymore and they just stay alive thanks to Pixar, but also it looks pretty boring. I'm very new to KZfaq, and can't seem to figure out how to edit audio placement after a video has been uploaded. If anyone knows how to do this, I'd love to fix this for you, but if this can't be done, I'll do my best to avoid this mistake in future videos. And yeah, this really is "Let's celebrate 100 years of Walt Disney's legacy of fucking over his employees to at least create great art by fucking over our employees to create the most boring and generic movie possible that literally looks like those ai art disney animated movie posters. But without the creativity of the prompter.

While it sounds nice to believe this movie was written by an AI, it falls apart pretty quicky when you realize: 1. Chat GPT (the main AI that could do this sort of thing) is only a little over a year old. It was introduced in November 2022. 2. This movie has been in production for far longer than the introduction of open-source AI. 3. The "villain" being an actual understandable person with decent goals and the protagonist being a spoiled narcissistic brat who think she knows better than those older and more experienced than her, is so overly woke, no AI could've written it. An AI would've literally done a better job writing a script than this. So no. Not AI at all. I will subscribe though and see if this channel is good.

I actually don't think AI wrote it, and that's due to the fact that I've known about it for 9 years. I'm an animator and would often get a chance to have animator's from all spots in the industry come to our classes and teach while the professor hosted them. Wish was a name mentioned during that time, and all they said was that it'd be the next Disney Princess film. It wasn't until four or so years later that they showed some of the artwork for it. AI for writing wasn't really around much then, but then again, it is clear they made HUGE changes in the film. As originally the star was meant to be a person-like being. Which would make more sense as to why the King felt so inferior, because if he could actually speak to the star and hear what the star had said, then he'd feel as though his magic is being compromised.

Gonna be honest, I usually don't like these kind of videos (talking about movies), because I'm just not really into movies and tv, but this one was actually pretty darn good! It's not too long or anything, and you explained your points pretty clearly in that short amount of time too. Like some other comments said, this really feels like a channel with a 109k subs, instead of 109, although I'm fairly certain you'll get there soon enough if you keep making great videos like this one! Honestly the only two problems I could find in this video are the fact that the audio is only on one ear, something that I think you can fix fairly easily and isn't really your fault as much as the fault of the editing program you use, and the fact that the video is so massively underrated! I saw some comments about this movie being AI-written online and was just curious but didn't feel like doing a lot of research (and I honestly have no sense of these kind of things in general), but you explained it really clearly and quickly, to a point where even a societal dense person like me can understand that this movie is just kinda bad/unhuman Sorry for the long comment, but I just wanted to mention all these points, and as a starting cc on my alt myself, I personally appreciate these kind of comments just the same, and you seem like the kind of person who does too :> Good luck with your channel!!
