Been around Texas high school football my whole life and for my money desoto is no slouch either, but I played duncsnville when I was a freshman in a scrimmage game and even the freshman were fucking massive, I don’t know what’s in the water there but they continuously pump out D1 prospects

If you’re on the ground, you’re the literal definition of not defenseless. He took like two entire steps before he got hit. Edit: rewatched it looks like he had three full steps after the ball was caught, like, I get it, but that’s a 100000% legal hit. Chest to chest, feet planted, full control of the ball. If you can’t hit him like that, we should just stop calling it football and flat out make the game illegal to play.

There are several teams that could beat them. They are clearly an excellent team and likely the best public school in the country but they wouldn’t beat several private schools, simply because the private schools don’t have the limitations Duncanville does.

They haven’t played anyone. The best team they’ve played is 31st in Texas, not 1 team nationally ranked. And I’m not sure about the private schools in Texas but the private schools in CA, FL and the DMV give full rides to good players. We didn’t pay a dime for my son to play at a school that was $25k a year. And because these schools have money, they fly multiple times a year to play really good teams. There is a reason they aren’t ranked number 1. And lastly, I said Duncanville is an excellent team, but they are not the best team in the country.

I watched Waxahachie play them for homecoming (yeah they scheduled the best team in the nation for homecoming, brilliant move) and Waxahachie put up a small 10 points. Waxahachie played desoto the game before and were down by 7 with 3 minutes to go and receiving the ball despite having 4 turnovers. I’d say duncanville won’t be stopped until they have their 2nd trophy

Interesting fact, Duncanville and Desoto are about 9 miles apart on the though side of Dallas. Not sure what's in the water there but it's insane that most years there are around 30-50 D1 players out of an area of about 50 sq miles.
