The whole place is like a snapshot of Disney in the Netherlands. I’d thoroughly recommend a visit.

The mice are featured in lots of fairytales in the fairytale forest. Some obvious ones are gnome village, Pinocchio and Cinderella. You can search for them on the next visit

Efteling isn't just one of my fav theme parks in Europe-but the world! Been coming here since a small kid in the 80's, my first memories were 3 onwards So from Summer of 1984onwards. I remember first seeing it on classic British TV holidya programme: Wish you Were Here when I was 4 and begged my mum/dad to take me-also they taped it on VHS every week so would rewind it and watch it again and again. And would also love reading stuff about it in Mags/Teletext etc. Been going nearly every year since-One of my other fav theme parks is Europa Park in Germany-sure you know of it but have you ever been?? Whereabouts you from, I'm in Kent 😀

I loved Efteling! Hoping to go to Europa Park next year. I have fond memories of Wish You Were Here’. I was quite envious of Judith Chalmers. I’m from Lancashire.

@@thegadaboutdad1057 Efteling is my 3rd fav theme park in the world! Ah nice one, going to Europa Park ne xt year-take it you will also go to their amazing waterpwrk as well-Rulantica??? Yeah-Wish You Were Here is such a classic-I heard on radio the other week they are in talks of bringing it back for revival! Ah good old Lancashire-so you must go to Blackpool Pleasure Bach/Sandcastle Waterpark a lot then! You ever been to Kent??

I got to Blackpool Pleasure Beach about once a year. I’ve only ever been to the sandcastle once (I did enjoy it though) I don’t know about the water park at Europa because we’ll go over Easter so I’d assume it’s shut?

Those packing cubes are great. I’ve got bigger ones for shirts. Saves room in your case too.

The hotel is not the cheapest or best option in the ressort. I very much prefer Bosrijk or Loonsche Land. The Grand hotel will open next year. It is not expensive, as the entry to the oark is included on all days of you stay. So it is only expensive if you don’t actually use the entry on one of the days.

It was included in the price. It was very substantial & I’m sure there’s something there for everyone.

We tried Baron, Villenge Hollander (apologies for the spelling!) python and symbolica… I’ve since heard that it’s specific rides on set days, so we struck it unlucky. You live and learn!

It was shut both mornings. Apparently we should have checked in the app each day. We live and learn!
